There's 2 possible reasons why law enforcement agencies and special forces divisions across the world have had such a poor success rate in catching terrorists during the War on Terror (even law inforcement agencies and special forces divisions that have had a previously high success rate in catching terrorists such as the Royal Marines and Anti-terrorist squad of the british police).

1. These terrorists are even smarter than the best orgainsed, best funded, and most active terrorist groups in the world (such as the now virtually disbanded IRA) - but somehow do very little in terms of actual terrorist acts

2. There are no terrorists

the answer is pretty obviosu when you think about it

I think the terrorists are not smarter...it is more like these people are dumber. Think about it. How many smart students make a career in the law enforcement rather than becoming doctors, lawyers and engineers?

The FBI is spending hundreds of millions in the Sentinel case management system to prevent terrorism. It is an oxymoron because you have to have an event happened before you can do analysis in the Sentinel system. So, my friend made a proposal for a "Prediction and Prevention" system that the FBI gave it to a prime contractor that did not know how to do it, so they are bluffing their way through.

It is a whole different issue than forensics....

Correct, they are just taking a long vacation. Seriously, how many truly terrorist acts happened in the last 2 decades in the USA? If we don't count abortion clinic bombings (hatecrime) probably a dozen....

and then subtract from that the number that were carried out by regular nut jobs and not islamist nut jobs - you wouldn't need all of the fingers on your right hand

The F.B.I can't even infiltrate Al Queda. But the the Jewish Grandson of a severing J.D.L member can. Now they're alleging that Al Queda is recruiting westerners. And the F.B.I still can't infiltrate them. We need an organization that gives us results, not excuses. Maybe we should hire and an X Chinese intelligence officer to run the F.B.I since they seem to steal a plethora of America's secrets.

Of course not - there's nothing there - no organisational structure - no cells - - just a small handful of scattered individuals who are barely taken seriously even by their fellow islamists.
Some of them have some money for sure - but thats about it
