There are some really good ones. The special effects within the Tardis are fantastic.

I think so, just saw one in which the Dr. was taken over by a sun oif some sort, rather interesting but as usuall he worked his way out of that situation once again.;) :D

By far, the 80's series is still my favorite. When the Doctor used to try and save the time-line.

It was much more dramatic. Lacked the special effects, yes; but had a great plot.

Time travel is more of a quadratic equation
as you have time being linear
with only a past a present and a future
of these three each has their own past present and future
when you cross multiply to see where each would go if they traveled to their others sub past-present-future you find that you can neither travel to the past of the past nor the future of the future.....
this of course is given that you have the vantage point of being in the present
the past is only able to travel from its own present to the past of the present
the present being able to travel anywhere but the past of the past and the future of the future
and the future only being able to travel to the present of the future or the future of the present

givn this equation the only way to enable time travelers to come and visit us in our past or present
is if we....as the present moment
discover time travel before the future does

take into account that time is linear and that it is graphed on a time over moment plane
im sure one can find a 3rd axis to make the equation 3rd dimensional
