What arrogance ! Since the United States is not IN the Middle East, I can understand why those people who ARE living in the Middle East are not too eager to have the US decide their future, considering how Iraq turned out. This statement is telling in that it actually spells out clearly Americas real intentions toward Iran . It effectively admits that Iran will be invaded for reasons unconnected to the claims that they are interested in preventing the proliferation of nuclear weapons.
While I'm all for a regime change in Iran (and a couple others over there), invading Iran is not in anyone's best interest. A regime change in Iran is going to have to come from within.
Shouldnt peeple from other areas be aloud to live in ME? like they are aloud to live in other places. when Iran allows other people tomlive there then i will support them.
Ahem. Just a sliiiight detour in language here, going from the government of Iran to the Iranian people. It seems a bit unlikely that the Iranian people are some kind of obstacle to anyone's goals. Just thought I'd mention before the froth started to fly. Now enjoy your froth. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
I think Iran is pretty obviously an obstacle to many US goals in the region. The goal of getting all the oil fields in the region under more favorable terms of exploitation, for example: I remember when they impounded Cheney's oil rig, for not paying royalties.
