View Full Version : Republican Presidential Debate
The debates were great last night--so many good one-liners. Romney is the most attractive and eloquent. Tancredo goes straight for the jugular--especially on issues like illegal immigration. McCain is creepy with his short arm gestures and unattractive head. Paul has captured many people's attention. Guiliani is just a liberal disguised as a Repub.
Tancredo quoted Jack Bauer and everyone clapped. (We are serious about ending terrorism.)

who's running?
spuriousmonkey 05-16-07, 08:00 AM Tancredo quoted Jack Bauer and everyone clapped. (We are serious about ending terrorism.)
You quote a fictitious figure, moreover a fictitious person who cannot keep his own family out of the hands of terrorists for 24 hours, and you claim to be serious about ending terrorism?
 :wtf: :jawdrop:
Nikelodeon 05-16-07, 08:01 AM 24 is not a documentary?
Don't know who will get the nom. No one is a frontrunner. It's WAY too early.
By Feb of next year we will have a clear picture. I like Romney. He is very presidential. Too bad about the Mormon thing. It's the one big elephant in the room that will keep him from winning. Too bad. He's hot.

and this is but one of the fucking problems with the american electorate.
you quoted "negative points against him" as:
his religion.
his personal appearance.
not one mention of his policies or stances on honestly important issues.
god bless america, i guess.
His policies are fine. It's his religion that will hurt him. Americans will not elect a Mormon. Too bad. He's hot.
Nikelodeon 05-16-07, 08:27 AM Which of his policies in particular?

this guy would never be elected president in the united states, if he met the criteria.
he is the prime minister of belgium, and he looks like a total dufus.
IceAgeCivilizations 05-16-07, 08:31 AM Yeh, Romney's out, that Mormon deal is bad news, McCain's out, too shifty, plus he's got that Keating Five deal, so Guiliani it will seem to be, though I didn't like that he joked about Romney being his running mate.
Romney has socialist leanings, and the Mormon church is weird and secretive, so although he is an attractive candidate to many, the Bible Belt will be his undoing, he was at only 8% in South Carolina.
Which of his policies in particular?
Iraq, liberals, abortion, stemcell research, Asia, immigration, insurance, welfare, etc...

Nikelodeon 05-16-07, 08:39 AM Those are topics, what are the policies you agree with?
PS are you related to IAC?
I agree with finishing the war in Iraq no matter how long it takes.
I agree with mandatory insurance.
I agree with immigration reform and would prefer to only allow professionals in. No more cheap labor. In fact, deport all the cheap labor.
I agree with most of Romney's policies.
I'm not going to list them all.
IAC is hot.:xctd:

Beatrix is such a lovely laday. Wonder when Willem-Alexander will get his shot. Isn't abdication somewhat a tradition in the Netherlands?

McCain was a HOT-TIE when he was a younger man (zoomie pilots are generally hot). And a bit more appealing in his politics-- very Barry Goldwater in his views. Now he's moved so far to the right in order to win the "rightwing" votes... though, I suspect he's still a closted Goldwater Republican just itching to get elected.

It is a plan. By the way I LOVE the diversity of the candidates!

Of course Ron Paul wins...
iceaura 05-16-07, 01:18 PM Read my (hot) lips: As.Long.As.It.Takes. To what?
We already won, after all. Took Baghdad in a few weeks, captured and killed the Great Evil Tyrant, victory is ours.
Romney is marketing his looks: he has campaign literature out that describes his looks as "fantastic". It's one of his talking points, and of course we get immediate news about whatever the latest talking point is on this forum: we have our own parrots, well connected ones it seems, and not at all averse to the necessary repetition - or shamed by such a role.
No word on what he pays for haircuts.
I'm not sure how the pretty boy look - Edwards, the 50+ year old Romney - will play in a context of gay prostitution investigations to come, on top of the child molestation stuff and the fallen Pastor stuff and the cute but incompetent Current Occupant on the front page every other day.

But, of course, this has to be a lie. There are no links between al qaeda, Bin Laden, and Iraq. Never, ever has this ever, ever been established. EVER!!!
You still do not get it do you!!!????!!
Disclaimer: The purpose of my post is not necessarly directed at the original poster, but for all who deny qaeda/Iraq links, of any kinds
I like Romney best so far. He is the most presidential. And he's hot. For a Mormon.:D
