Is there a way for the administrators to delete every post or thread i made on sciforums? If that was my desire.

    just curious.

seems like it would be easier to do it yourself. And I think its a bannable offense, so you would get the desired result of removing yourself.

can't you edit and then delete then backspace them clean? Or you want everything, even what was quoted removed?

Probably, but they'd never do it. You could go around and try systematically deleting your own posts, but that's illegal, and will get you banned. There was some nutcase girl called singularity who did it, I think. She was banned.

Why do you get banned for deleting YOUR posts?

Not that I want to. Going back looking through my old posts, alot of my views have changed!

Your account could be deactivated, but not deleted.

Yes, we set a timeline because of abuse.

Because posts and threads are 'property' of SciForums. Members agree with that when registering.

You could always ask admin to check and edit/delete the post in question.

I know phpBB has a function in the administrative control panel for deleting all threads by a specific username. This really helps when the place gets nailed by a flooder (usually a bot)

There was a user called "Anonymous" that was his actual username he used, per request and I am guessing a certain sum of money to the moderators everything he/she/it ever wrote here was deleted.

You say you can't delet past a certain date? But you CAN delete a post once it's made? or not? Am I to understand that posts become the property of Sf after a certain time, or IMMEDIATELY upon hitting reply?

Sometimes, in the heat of a discussion, some people write crazy things, and the next day, they wish to just forget and do away with everything stupid they wrote in a thread. . . this is a no can do than?

Thankfully, I have never done it in a long time, and never in this forum, just a point of clarification. . . .
