Platipus,

You have my support. I've read your recent posts. There is indeed significant immaturity on display by many others in that forum.

Pointless profanity and ad hominem statements lower the entire value of such a forum. The site appears to lack serious and knowledgeable debaters.

Wouldn't it be more productive to raise these concerns in the religion forum itself? I don't think administrative interference is the answer you're looking for.

But Pofiry, we want you to go in there with your broadsword and smite all the evil athiests.

Oh wait....shit.... *Xev the evil athiest ducks the everlasting wrath of Pofiry*

So you're saying that people can't have their own opinion on Religion....interesting

Well, everyone's free to have their own opinion. As long as they agree with Platipus (who, I'll note, has never posted anything of relevence except regurgitation of Augustine and Pascal)

But religion can be funny sometimes. Didnt you ever read that story about that guy who got tied to the cross...I think it was called Amazing Tales Of SpiderMan issue #67....

Or is it that the atheist and agnostics make a point with the humour that they provide?

I'm still getting over the fact that there's a Religion section in a Science forum, go figure eh

replace religion with humour and you'll get over it pretty soon.
Now what we need (ok - I need:D) is a history forum. I'm so fond of history:) and there's no history forum:(

I like some history to Avatar. As long as its bloody and full of sex.... in other words the crusades interest me very much. Who do we blame the crusades on? Christians duh!

Agreed. We learn so much from our History.

Avatar, I've heard a similar quote that has pretty much shaped my life

"Too look into the future, we must first look into the past"

Its always stuck by me

Have a religion forum or dont. I wont visit it either way.

Personally, I think it would reduce some of the drivel in the other forums though.
