My girlfriend has lost the word document that she was working on. She can only find the document in its original form, but she has worked on it all day and saved it a number of times.

We have tried all sort to find the document but no luck. Word is set to autosave every 10 mins, will word have kept all of those saves? If so how do we get to them?

Look for *.tmp files using Search.

Downloaded a few recovery programs but none could find it, very strange, cheers anyway.
