OK, I've just posted in the religion sub-forum and it's not actually being shown. The really weird part is that I can see that I was indeed the last poster (at the correct time)! Even weirder, much to my relief, i can retrieve the post from my User CP under all posts. Did this ever happen to anyone else?!

You can try but everytime someone shows up as a new poster in that thread it doesnt show the post.

It's fixed. Apparently page 4 had dissapeared for about 20 mins there!

Had a problem that was just the opposite of this in Site Feedback (or maybe Open Government.) I posted in a thread, but the main page didn't show the new post. It stayed this way until someone else posted some time later.

The site had been lagging quite severely before this. I suspect that the database got a bit screwed up as I posted during a lag, then it was fixed after someone else posted after the lag was finished.

Your experience might also be a database problem due to lag?

I've wondered if part of the problem isn't all the moderators running ip checks on Kiwi's sock puppets all the time... I've noticed a site lag while the database does this ip check. It might have been coincidence, might not.
