I am not racist at all, in fact i am quite the oposite but, being welsh i am open to many anti welsh jokes and name calling, so are the irish, scotish, but we just walk away from it and forget about it, and it is not against the law to make anti irish, scotish, welsh jokes, but it is against the law to make anti black jokes, anti muslim jokes, anti asian jokes, why the double standards? surely what's good for one is good for the other? your thoughts? example: you can get expelled from school for calling someone a nigger, paki, and saying anti black jokes, but if you call a welsh person sheep shagger and dare make a complaint about it your called "soft"

The humor is intended to be crude, violative of boundaries, and, to a certain degree, offensive. And yet, if it fulfills its goal of offending the people he hopes to piss off, his fans all complain. So why does Carlos get to do it? Because he's a prig, and he knows it, and he doesn't care. Anyone can do it under those terms. The problem is when the rest of us are expected to treat exploitative provocateurs who don't care about their contributions to social ignorance as if they are legitimate and respectable.

Welsh, Irish, Scottish, and English are all the same race, but differing nationalities that's why. Although 'paki' seems to be based on nationality, rather than race. But anyway, in Australia they call the English 'Whinging Poms', in Germany, they take the piss out of Bavarians, so it happens all over. We throw in red harings about virgins to seperate US from THEM and then we try to say "we are not atacking them based on there religion" This is why jokes about these groups just arnt funny, because they drag the bitterness up for these people again and again. Difficult to separate the political from the religious in many forms of islam, Asguard. Merely look at religous laws in islamic nations. Separation of mosque and state is unknown to the ummah, with the exception of enlightened individuals.

You never know how anyone will take what you say funny or not. Just because others may have a great sense of humor not everyone does in our world today and some might even be insulted if you made fun of them somehow. The best way to tell ethnic jokes is to tell them only to people who you know that are people who know that you are only joking or else you could be classified a racist. You know the word 'graft' as in 'hard day's graft' as used by the working class? It's a slave term. Captured enemies were used to dig hill fortifications in neolithic times. 'Grafting' is the process of building the wall and dyke, literally taking soil from one place, and putting it somewhere else (like a skin 'graft'). Interesting that a slave term is still in use amongst the working classes all these years later. I should hope this is just a cultural thing, and that today's working class aren't overly related to those slaves.
