sorry guys, im just frustrated right now and i need to get this out. i promise i won't be offensive and if i am you can correct me.

okay i just got back from a highschool athletic baquet. there were many scholorships and achievements awarded. i was just their for a geometry thing while some other kids had some pretty impressive stuff (scholorships from william and marry university and more...). The thing that upset me was however, there was a 5 minute part of the ceremony for just (I'm going to get in trouble for this) africian-amercians. Now my school is rediculously a white school because we have a neighboring school which most minorities choose so as to be around the people they feel most comfortable with. So we maybe have only 20 africian amercians at our school. However 3 awards were given as follows in a row(these were the only african-amercians awarded,(other minorites had much more frequent awards earned): for leadership out of the entire sophomore class (africian-amercian girl-low gpa and is in no leadership classes or activities, she's on the 'step team'; the negro college found- 2 Africian amercan guys, one i don't know about and the other's grades are only as low as his interest in school. (low). This upsets me most because i think this little 5 minute ordeal was just to satisify some diversity requirement they were under.

The word 'negro' in that one scholorship is what i don't like. isn't that racist to other minorities and whites? if i had my own white college scholorship program would it be a month before i got thrown in jail? is that fair to the kids who aren't negro but work harder?

The girl's scholorship i brought up because it sounded like bs that that girl won it, plus i thought it was weird they gave that leadership award out along with the afro awards as they put it.

question: define africian amercian? when i used it above it was more specificially referring to (goin to get yelled at again...) "black people" but i don't think this is accurate. according to scientist. homo sapien sapiens originated from the great rift valley africa (if my source is wrong plz correct me.) if thats true then a africian amercian would apply to any amercian...white black red green

    please be happy for them.
If it was possible for them to gain recognition of their own accord they would be raising Hades over the way they received their awards.
as they are not then it would seam that they need any assistance available. yet in the long run they may be one of the few human beings who contribute to the greater good of the species.

    with respect

  5. Why ever did you post this?
We are all quite familiarized with the veracity of the "White Man's Burden." Though it is hard to accept, comrade, the world isn't a fair place, and, due to our moronic politics blacks are treated with excessive favor, even in the sacred realm of academia.

So . . . if we can't refer to them as African-Americans, is it still illicit or taboo to call them niggers? I mean, it rolls of the tongue more easily than "negroes" or "black people" or "members of the racial minority" or even "colored's."
