Well, this proves my theory that the RIAA/MPAA are a bunch of Nazis.

this just proves that the RIAA and also you have a limited knowledge about swastika (as a symbol)

Avatar, look closely at the article, matter a fact I doubt that you even read the article. If you had read the article then you would know that it's pretty much a joke.

As for my "limited knowledge", I know plenty about the swastika. I know that the one Hitler used was reversed, and that the true swastika is actually a symbol of good, not evil.

Thank you very much Mr. Joykill.

It's so hillarious people trying to justify their actions of downloading music and movies from Kazaa, Morpheus etc etc etc.

You don't know as much as you think you do.

The Swastika hitler used was not reversed, it was the true swastika. The Swastika has been a universal sign of Love, Life, Liberty and Light for centuries. Hitler chose it for several reasons, but it proved an effective rally sign for the people of Nazi Germany.

The backwards swastika -- I believe it is called a Sauvastika or something to that effect -- is a counterclockwise version of the swastika and represents its exact opposite -- Hate, Death, Darkness.

Ignorant masses have attempted to identify the Sauvastika as a sign of good due to the fact that they associate the Swastika with national socialism and hence evil, but this is totally wrong.

In actuality, The Nazi Swastika should correctly be associated with good and its opposite, the Sauvastika, with evil.

edit: after doing a little research, I've found that the clockwise and counterclockwise version of the symbols were interchangeable in some cultures. Regardless, it's a pretty safe bet that you are most correct by associating a Swastika (Nazi symbol) with good and a Sauvastika (opposite of the Nazi symbol) with evil.

That doesn't change the fact that the Nazis were jizz-bags.

No. Just like Bush's use of the U.S. flag doesn't change the fact he's a lying money grubbing war monger. Sorry, can't resist an opportunity for Bush Bashing.

In Baltic culture there is no difference between the reversed or not reversed swastika or as here it is called "thundrecross" or "firecross"
It is an atribute of the thunder god. Traditionally in Baltic culture swastika brings good luck and protects from evil forces.
I also know that in hinduism the reversed swastika represents the negative energy froces (death, entropy and destruction) while the not reversed means the positive and life giving energy forces

done a little study on this myself

I think that's the amazing, if not slightly problematic, beauty of the Swastika. It means so many things to so many different people.

Unfortunately, the majority of people just know it as "the nazi symbol" and don't even know the word Swastika.
