Does is surprise anyone that the 800-pound gorilla in the adoption of this new technology is Wal-Mart? As they dictate use of RFID, consumer marketers will attach to pallets, cases and eventually units.
Although it is yet another boundary of information and privacy being pushed, it's still too early to fill the attic with tinfoil. Manufacturers, distributors and most retailers will likely have a hard time making these systems work properly for several years.

    :m: Peace

    technology good!

Why not get excited at the technology? Anything that can replace manual labor jobs should be a great thing in a nerd's eyes. It may be some 40h or 80h bit number embedded in each RFID--imagine the uses! And it's in binary, not decimal!
