View Full Version : Questions to your own mind

here i present some controversial questions on peoples thoughts of existance and other things, such as God(s) and UFOs.

this thread will probably be moved or perhaps deleted, but i wanted to try and get an overal view of peoples opinions, not just the biased ones in the pseudo forum (where it will inevitably be thrown)

without further ado, zonabi's questions of the mind, body, and soul:

1) do you believe in God(s) ?

2) do you believe in Aliens ?

-------if you answered YES to BOTH of these questions, you may skip the next 2 questions, and go straight to question 5
-------if you answered NO to either question, continue below:
---if you answered YES to #1 - please go to question 3
---if you answered YES to #2 - please go to question 4

3) If Aliens were proven to exist, would you still beleive in God(s) ?

4) if God(s) was proven to exist, would you still believe in Aliens ?

------if you answered YES to BOTH of these questions, you may skip the next 2 questions, and go straight to question 7
------if you answered NO to either question, continue below:
---if you answered NO to #3 - please go to question 5
---if you answered NO to #4 - please go to question 6

5) Would you consider all of our religions to be false, or depictions of Aliens ?

6) Would you consider all of the Planets and Stars our there to be empty ?

---

7) Do you believe that interfering with evolution is wrong ?

now you know where you stand .

have a nice day

1) I believe that there is something superior, but not necessarily a "Bible God like figure" let's just say YES for the hell of it.

2) I don't believe in aliens, but I believe that it is quite likely that there is intelligent life elsewhere and that lots of funky stuff has happened on earth that can be explained by aliens, let's say YES, again, for the hell of it.

5) Considering how all religions say that other religions are wrong, then some religion needs to be wrong. Maybe aliens are GOd or the opposite of God. It is probable that both these things exist, but no one knows for sure if any or both
God or aliens exist.

If you don't believe in Faeries, Aliens, Witches, Ghouls, Ogers, Sprites, Orks, Hobbits (Elija Wood is NOT a hobbit...) - does it make sense to believe in God?

What if you believe in Pixies?

I believe in The Pixies. Does that count? Like, Frank Black and Kim Deel... ;)

I believe in gods (more or less) but not in anyone particular. I also would not limit them to just one god. Furthermore I think that aliens may exist, alas I do not know in what form. Even a bacteria could be an alien.

What if I answered 'no' to question 1 and 2? I mean, there's no next step - does that mean my opinion doesn't matter?

Take off your tinfoil hat and try the quiz again, fireguy. Maybe your answers will change...

;) Peace.

I know where I stand without taking part in this silly example of a 'test". I need not believe in any God or Aliens to know what I think and where I'm at.

zonabi

when God is stated, it means any Diety, Gods, Goddesses etc.

"What if I answered 'no' to question 1 and 2? I mean, there's no next step - does that mean my opinion doesn't matter? "

it only means, you know where u stand.

cosmic- thats is great for you already know where u stand.

the 'silly' tests are just made to open minds.

these questions just rushed out of my mind as i was getting ready to leave the workplace, i didnt have ample time to word them better or structure the test better.

but i will work on it and maybe show you guys the final exam

clarifications have been made to the questions, but they are still pretty much the same.

it would be better for the discussion if peoples would COPY the entire test, and paste in their answers.

of course you dont have to, some may find the questions a bit personal, and that's perfectly fine also.

you may probably just want to ask yourself the questions in your own mind.

if ur not interested, or think its silly, then it would probably be best to ignore this post.

1. No i dont believe in god
2. Yes i do believe in aliens
4. Yes i'd still believe in aliens, a god and aliens are not exclusive of each other.
After this the quiz is flawed:
------if you answered YES to BOTH of these questions, you may skip the next 2 questions, and go straight to question 7
------if you answered NO to either question, continue below:
---if you answered NO to #3 - please go to question 5
---if you answered NO to #4 - please go to question 6
There isnt an option for if you answer yes to the only one you were asked to answer.

I find the existence of gods or aliens equally plausible (based on evidence and experience), so my answer is, "none of the above".

1. You should better define God but based on what you probably mean, I think God's existence is highly unlikely.
2. I think the existence of aliens is probable.
5. All religions are certainly false.
6. It is unlikely there's nothing out there.
7. This question doesn't make sense. Depending upon how you mean it, it is either completely impossible to interfere or to not interfere.

1) do you believe in God(s) ?

No

2) do you believe in Aliens ?

In what way?

4) if God(s) was proven to exist, would you still believe in Aliens ?

How are these two things related to each other? They aren't, so I can't answer the question.

7) Do you believe that interfering with evolution is wrong ?

It isn't evolution anymore if you interfer so it is a non-valid question.

now you know where you stand .

Where?

5) Would you consider all of our religions to be false, or depictions of Aliens ?

No

6) Would you consider all of the Planets and Stars our there to be empty ?

No

7) Do you believe that interfering with evolution is wrong ?

If humans do it? Then YES

This whole debate suffers from lack of clarified terms and mutual understanding. It's basically just an exercise where we all repeat what we have heard or said in the past.

That being said, I believe there quite possibly could be "aliens" out there in the universe. I have never seen or heard of proof of this fact though. Every flying saucer video or story I've heard is just plain ludicrous. Who says aliens are more advanced than us anyway.
As to the other question of God, I believe that there is more to our existence than we can normally percieve with our 5 senses. I find many problems in organized religion but that does not mean I don't think organized religion is bad. Many of the social and supportive aspects of congregations are very worthwhile.
So, to answer the question, I do believe in a higher purpose(God) but not in the way expressed by organized religion as I know it.

Now, examining the previous two paragraphs, I don't see anything that hasn't been said a million times already. Maybe the only reason for this debate is so we can feel good about attempting to express ourselves and interact with others who we feel are like us.

Maybe the only reason for this debate is so we can feel good about attempting to express ourselves and interact with others who we feel are like us.

perhaps that is true, but reading the responses is what i am really interested in.

you see, whereas it may seem like obvious questions that we have answered a million times, when asked together the results show some inconsistencies.

also, you may not realize, but i have been carrying the same questions discussion on the psuedoscience forum, and am comparing answers from there to answers in here, where a more broad array of human mentalities would be present.

the purpose of this, for me, is to construct a way to revealing truths regarding both aspects of the questions, both God and Extra Terrestrial life, including our own existance.

on the same token, I am able to open some peoples eyes in the flaws of Religion/Society so that perhaps we can awaken to our own spirituality, not some prescribed religion.

you seem to be fine, and thats not meant to offend anyone, although it might.

the world has been shifting dramatically in recent years, and although i think it is good we have kind of pushed Orthodox Religions away from the center of our lives, i STILL think SPIRITUALITY is VERY IMPORTANT. and thats the problem.

our Technological Evolution has been deteriorating our Spiritual Evolution, and that equals an unbalanced equation.

We are realizing we might not be alone in the universe, while some already KNEW. how does this effect our spirituality? To a hardcore christian the revelation of Extra Terrestrial life might threaten everything he stands for.

hence i ask nicely for people to look upon these questions and answer them to themselves, and to me if they would be so kind to.

with that infomation (data) i hope to take a more useful approach at spreading awareness, and I shall know which areas are of prime importance and which ones are not.

I am an individual who has chosen assimilation.
My assimiltion was not against my will.
Thus, I maintain my individualism through assimilation.
My assimliation IS my individualism at its supreme.
