View Full Version : Question for FoxMulder Adam 05-27-02, 03:53 AM FoxMulder, I am curious about something. What can you tell us about Mars? About the water/ice, aliens, NASA, and so on? FoxMulder 05-27-02, 04:03 AM There are no aliens. They are demons sent to ensnare men's souls. Mars is a planet, like any other. NASA is the North American Space Agency. Adam 05-27-02, 04:06 AM Well, thanks very much for that. :) FoxMulder 05-27-02, 04:17 AM You're welcome. Any other questions? Tyler 05-27-02, 09:32 AM Yes, are there other planets with other non-demon life forms? And how do you know this? Pollux V 05-27-02, 07:17 PM Lesion took the words right out of my mouth. Fox I'm really interested to hear your whole autobiography, tell us everything, man. Our ears are open:D Lesion42 05-27-02, 07:30 PM No sarcasm! Really! :) Tyler 05-27-02, 07:34 PM Yup! Dude, I'm telling you, write a book. FoxMulder 05-28-02, 07:22 AM A book might be a good idea, Tyler. Tyler: Yes, are there other planets with other non-demon life forms? And how do you know this? God only created one planet earth....no other life-bearing planets are in the Bible. Cactus Jack: What is the most interesting demon you have encountered? Zoe. Lesion42: I thought it was the National Aeronautics and Space Administration. That is what "They" WANT you to think. Any more questions? Pollux V 05-28-02, 07:38 AM Fox, tell us more about 'Zoe.' Was she hot? FoxMulder 05-28-02, 07:44 AM Yes. Lesion42 05-28-02, 11:10 AM What did she charge? was it by the hour? Was smiting her extra? Pollux V 05-28-02, 12:03 PM Fox that's a little inadequate, what was wrong with her? Why is she a demon? Stryder 05-28-02, 01:41 PM Fox, If you speak to your Succubus "Zoe", just ask her what her findings are over the interactions of people due to the Q-event. Did god only create the life-forms on Earth? For what purpose? FoxM, may I ask why you never give a proper answer on the questions from the others to give a good explanation of your experiences? The only thing I have seen so far is about Zoe. I do believe you had a bitter experience, what makes you think so many people are "demons"? This thread is probably going to be moved to Free Thoughts. I really think this belongs in Free Thoughts. Then again, demons, coming from the devil as mentioned in the bible, actually belong in religion. Suggestions are welcome... :) Banshee 05-28-02, 03:02 PM May, 28 - 2002 Ice reservoirs found on Mars By Dr David Whitehouse BBC News Online science editor Water-ice has been found in vast quantities just below the surface across great swathes of the planet Mars. The finding by the American space agency (Nasa) is undoubtedly one of the most important made about the Red Planet. It solves one of its deepest mysteries, points the way for manned exploration and reignites the question of whether life may exist on the planet. Insiders suggest that, partly as a result of this finding, Nasa may now commit itself to a manned landing within 20 years. Where the water went The US space agency will make the dramatic announcement about the water-ice next Thursday. And full disclosure of the findings will come in the journal Science later that day. The discovery was made by the Mars Odyssey spacecraft, which has been gathering data since late last year. Mars water facts Ice crystals less than one metre (three feet) below Mars surface Located south of 60 degrees latitude Melted, would create planet-wide ocean 500 metres deep Nasa may commit to landing in less than 20 years It confirms early observations that also pointed to enormous reservoirs of ice just below the surface. This finding will answer a question that has puzzled Mars researchers for decades: many lines of evidence suggest that the Red Planet was water-rich in the past, so where did all that water go? The answer appears to be that it is in the regolith - the layer of loose rock and dust on the surface. Mars Odyssey has been returning high-quality data about Mars' surface composition. The spacecraft contains an instrument called a gamma-ray spectrometer that looks for gamma-rays (high-energy light) with a specific signature showing that they come from hydrogen less than one metre (three feet) beneath the Martian surface. Astronomers believe that the hydrogen is locked up in crystals of ice. Moon discovery The same design of instrument was used on the Lunar Prospector spacecraft that discovered ice in the shadowed regions of the Moon's poles in 1998. Also on board Mars Odyssey is a neutron spectrometer that registers evidence for underground ice in the same regions of the planet. Researchers were amazed at the strength of the signal of the ice. They had expected to take a year to gather enough evidence but managed to do so in just a few weeks. They announced preliminary findings in March but now have good data confirming large amounts of the water-ice just beneath the surface south of 60 degrees latitude. Researchers suspect the same to be true of the northern hemisphere, but cannot make the appropriate observations until later this year due to the Martian winter in the north. Nasa scientists were scheduled to hold a major news conference on Thursday when they would say that their earlier findings had been confirmed and extended. But this may be brought forward after a British newspaper leaked the news. Look for life The dramatic discovery may also guide the selection of future landing and exploration sites on Mars, and may suggest areas to look for evidence of past life. The presence of such a vast amount of ice - if it were to melt it could cover the planet in an ocean at least 500 metres deep (1,640 feet) - will change profoundly the direction of future exploration. Although landing probes are planned - the European Beagle 2 and Nasa's twin Mars rovers next year - neither are targeted at the region where the ice may exist. The Mars Polar Lander was to touch down in exactly the right spot in 1999 and would have undoubtedly detected the ice had it not malfunctioned on the way down. Having water just below the surface will be an enormous boon to astronauts on Mars. Water is essential for life, so the discovery enhances the belief that Mars could have had life in the past and perhaps in the present as well. Because of this, bringing a sample of the ice and rock back to Earth by an unmanned sample return probe will become a top priority. BBC News Online will report the full technical details of the Odyssey discovery when they appear in the journal Science on Thursday. http://news.bbc.co.uk/hi/english/sci/tech/newsid_2009000/2009318.stm This is just an example of humans, made after gods likeness, exploring the Universe(s). How can you explain that there might be water on Mars and pobably past life? Isn't it so that god created heaven (Universe(s) ) and Earth and all what is in it? So what are your thoughts about life on other Planets FoxM? Doesn't matter now what I might think, it is your opinion I want to hear please. Are all those people who are working on this project, for example, demons then? What are your thoughts? Thanx...:) mind you, this is just an example to try to find out how you explain these developments. Tyler 05-28-02, 06:40 PM "That is what "They" WANT you to think." Lesion42 05-30-02, 11:58 AM I personally think that half of it was dreamed up by someone with as much sanity as a slightly-less-than-ok dust mite. The other half just "happened" Stryder 05-30-02, 03:16 PM Okay, FoxMulder, Let me put it bluntly, From what I understand their are no demons, never was, and I would say there never would be. It's just that mankind has a habit of making up things in where they think stuff should fit. You speak of not Demonic possession, but a poor soul as a person is enslaved by someones experiment that is shrouded by demonolgy just to throw people off the scent of it's reality. Those Demons you think you fight or talk to are manifestations created by laboratory assistants doing terrible studies that to the world and the church would be classed as in-humane. This means that they see their "experiment" as being ridiculed by the masses, and in turn makes them try to create their experiment into a clandenstine effort through a shroud of long dead superstitions. People that don't wise up to the use of people for these methods of doctors writing papers on the psychology of peoples minds, just continue to add to the superstitions of old rather than burying them along with the dead. *stRgrL* 05-30-02, 03:32 PM Hey Foxy! I have a question for ya! Are you not a hardcore Christian? And is it true that you believe in vampires and UFO's? Well, I always thought that if you believed in God, you certainly couldnt believe in UFO's. I mean, wouldnt that prove that a God doesnt exist, if there are other life forms? Because if there are aliens, then who is their maker? Certainly not god since he made us in his image, and aliens dont look like us. AHhhhh, fuggit bout it! Whats your deal? Really. Most christians I know dont go hunting vampires. FoxMulder 05-30-02, 05:11 PM Vex: No fucking shit, Sherlock. You'll be an athiest yet. The Great Gretzkyson says your God can't skate! FoxMulder 05-30-02, 11:54 PM My God does not need your athiestic games, Tyler!!!!! Lykan 05-31-02, 12:09 AM Originally posted by FoxMulder Lykan: Because God's laws changed! Well, i may disagree with you on other points, but i do admire you for believing in a God that can evolve and grow. Many Christians aren't open-minded enough to even think that it's possible -- it's like they sorta see that God's beingness is written in stone, just like the Ten Commandments were. Here's a couple quotes from the Bible that i do agree with: "God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them." - I John 4:16 "There is no fear in love; but unconditional love casteth out fear." - I John 4:18 Much of the Bible though i disagree with. Probably most of it. I've always felt a certain kinship with Brother Francis of Assisi. And with Thomas Merton, who was a Trappist monk. Out of curiosity, do you agree with none of the Old Testament or only parts of it? Were you born and raised Christian? Lykan 05-31-02, 12:18 AM When i was in a local all-denominations Christian youth group when i was 13, we went on this week-long trip. And during it when all of us young guys as well as the male group leaders were sitting in our large motel room talking, i asked one of our leaders, "Could Jesus actually hit a curve ball?" All of the kids started laughing (remembering the movie Major League), and the leader assured me that Jesus could. The other leader just sorta looked at me with a slight grin trying to figure out why everyone found it funny. Then i asked him "Well, who would win in a wrestling match between Jesus and Satan?" and most everyone laughed again. He assured me that Jesus would. I said, "But what if Satan had a really good DDT?" (which is a wrestling move) And as everyone laughed again, the leader just looked at me like, "Oh my God, i can't believe that you're saying this..." :D And in an exasperated way he said, "Jesus would!" It left all of my friends chuckling afterwards. :p TruthSeeker 05-31-02, 12:59 AM The worst demons are those we create for ourselves. Lies, limitations, ignorance... There are no physical demons. I would like to call the atention of Lykan and FoxMulder to something that I realized today: Where is the Devil in the Old Testament? Why there's absolutly no mention of the Devil in the Old Testament? It seems for me that the idea of a Devil was created by the human mind. If God is the Truth, the Devil must come from the Truth because everything is created by God. In this sense, God must have "created" the Devil, or made it possible for us to create It (I guess the second one...). Or perhaps, Devil is nothing but the absence of perception of God, as God is everywhere. I guess that's the best definition. If the Devil was really real he would be mentioned at least in Genesis too. I searched in this page: http://bible.gospelcom.net/cgi-bin/bible?SearchType=AND&language=english&searchpage=0&version=NIV&search=Devil. According to this page, the first time the word "Devil" is mentioned in the Bible was in Matthew 4:1. An apostle mentioned it. Is that the word of God or "merely" an opinion from an apostle? My conclusion is that Devil was an idea created by the apostles to explain the absence of God. Love, Nelson Lykan 05-31-02, 01:24 AM Truthseeker - When i was a child, Satan was very real to me. I wasn't hugely fearful at the thought, but sometimes it did bother me, and i occasionally thought i saw the Devil in my dark bedroom at night. But now, i don't see that Satan exists, except in the minds of those who believe in him. I see that the Devil symbolically represents a person's fear-oriented ego, whereas Saint Michael symbolically represents a person's love-oriented higher self. And when Saint Michael supposedly defeated Lucifer as the story goes, this is symbolic for a person successfully transcending / moving beyond their fear-oriented ego through being centred within the love and deep inner peace of their higher self. Here's a quote some of you might find interesting, regardless of its source: "Few people will dispute that in the world of nature everything reacts to an exact law; and physical as these laws seem in their outworking, they all originate from the spiritual universe. There can be no haphazard methods, for nature is very drastic with delinquents. This also happens in the spiritual spheres where the smallest action calls forth an exact reaction. This means that man's thoughts become his creations, that they become like angels of good and evil to him; so that when he views his life from some higher plane of existence, he well realizes the disastrous nature of those mental creations of his - of gloom, depression and selfishness - which were and are his mental children. "This has affected me deeply since my arrival here, for I was wont to create such characters, scenes and word-pictures. Mine was a vivid imagination; and, while I gave forth many a picture of joy, homeliness and beauty, my pen also depicted scenes of crudity, ugliness, crime and horror. While recognizing that such pictures may by their very contrast teach their lesson, on the other hand creations of ugliness and terror are apt to live on in men's minds, and fill them with violent and unhealthy vibrations. Now I gaze down into the lives of men and women who have been considerably influenced by me for either good or ill. This I tell you only to illustrate the lesson. "Some day every man will attain either the joy or the terror of seeing the effect of his creations, beautiful or the reverse; no matter whether they are merely fictitious characters or actual conditions of life resulting from actions of his which have considerably influenced the lives of others. He will then see his own personal contribution, be it positive or negative, to the collective whole." -- Arthur Conan Doyle, from the "after-death" state, as channeled by a medium TruthSeeker 05-31-02, 01:35 AM Lykan, Brilliant... :) Yep... it's pretty much it... Tyler 05-31-02, 08:45 AM Nelson: Jews don't believe in Hell! Lesion42 05-31-02, 10:08 AM umm... Fox, if God's laws changed, then does that mean that God was wrong? Or was it like this: God: "Hmm. my 'eye for an eye' policy has set the world afire with chaos and strife. I'd change it, but that would mean I was wrong... But wait! I'm God! I can't be wrong! Ok, time to think up a new slogan...":D Stryder 05-31-02, 04:07 PM FoxMulder, Why should you believe me? Do you not think that humanity is advancing in a scientific direction, with new discoveries on the verge of being made everyday. Scientists are looking further into the field of physics, and moving beyond the dimensions of understanding that people were previously bound by. It's not going to take to long to be able to manipulate chronological occurances with parallels, or manipulate halogens within the atmosphere to give a ghostly glowing aura through the use of electromagnetic's and a parallel processing computer network. You might think it's all Sci-fi, but that's what is on the way and if your not receptive of it now, then you surely won't believe it when it makes an appearance. One such appearance would be the Poltergeist Laboratory in the US. Named so not because of ghosts, but because of the study of high electromagnetic fields. (They can float objects across their test room) TruthSeeker 05-31-02, 07:37 PM Lesion 42, umm... Fox, if God's laws changed, then does that mean that God was wrong? This complements my last post... God laws never changed. In the Old Testament, as there was no Devil, God and Devil were one. God hadn't "created" the Devil yet (He never did, actually...). The idea of Devil comes from God. Devil is usually associated with "bad" but it's not. God is Truth, Devil is Lie. Not good and bad, but supraconscient and conscient. His laws never changed, He just separated His other part. You see... if God is everything, He has to bear both opposites... and the neutral, that is the Truth. Taoism talks pretty much about that too... Thank you...:D TruthSeeker 06-15-02, 01:02 PM Fox, From:http://www.webpan.com/dsinclair/responses.html "Hate the sin but love the sinner? Joel's bible passages certainly refute my claim that "hate sin, but love the sinner as a general principle cannot be found anywhere in the bible". So should Christians live according to that principle? I do not believe so, and here's why. To fear the Lord is to hate evil. Proverbs 8:13 (NIV). Observe that this is technically an if-then statement. If a condition is met, then the outcome will be as described. So the question is: are Christians supposed to fear God? I find the proverb to be an insightful analysis of what is wrong with religious fundamentalists. Instead of loving God, they fear God. And the result is just as the proverb describes: hatred. It may only be hatred of evil, but the problem is that hatred, even "with good cause", usually corrupts the purity of one's motivation, and thus leads to evil. You just can't hate evil in the abstract. Sooner or later, you end up hating the people who are manifesting the (perceived or real) evil. People who hate fascism also hate Hitler. People who hate communism also hate Lenin, Stalin, Castro, Mao, and all the other communists. People who hate Christian conservativism usually hate the Pope and Pat Robertson. Similarly, Christians who hate homosexuality usually hate homosexual people. Jesus seemed to have a firm understanding of this limitation of human nature, as evidenced by the fact that he himself never instructs his followers to hate evil. Joel correctly observes that Jesus does not tell us to love their ideas or deeds (..) but Jesus does not tell us the contrary, either. He is simply silent on the issue of whether or not we should attempt to love our enemies while hating their deeds, because he understands fully well that this dangerous balancing act is beyond the capability of most people. It might be true that he built his moral legacy on his hatred of the hypocrisy of many of the political and religious leaders of his day, but that does not mean that he wanted us to try to do the same. That Jesus walked on water is not a commandment for us to try to do likewise. The apostle Paul is a splendid example of someone who tried to "walk on water" anyway. Paul speaks with such passion against his enemies that there can be little doubt that he did not love them as Jesus had instructed. He hated both sin and the sinner, and it is therefore not surprising that he would expand Jesus' doctrine of "love the sinner, period" to "love the sinner, hate the sin". In doing so, he laid the foundation for two millenia of Christian crimes against humanity, such as witch hunts, the "holy" inquisition and the brutal murdering of millions of "heathens" and "heretics". Jesus never intended these attrocities, but they were committed in his name regardless. Christians may dismiss this bloody history as human imperfection, but in reality, the seed of evil is right there, in the bible, contained in that impossible commandment to love the sinner but hate the sin. I therefore concede the point that this principle can be found in the bible. However, I stand firm in my belief that this principle, although it does not directly contradict the teachings of Jesus, almost universally inspires feelings and behavior that do. Therefore, Christian leaders would be well advised to not emphasize this principle." relleumsirhc 07-20-02, 07:41 PM hey uh i just read this whole thing and it seems u were short on answers for the last 10 questions...... why dont u answewr them??? id like to see the excuses you make up this time........... |
