I'm sure that most of you have read Asimov, so you've probably

heard of psychohistory. Ever since i read the Foundation Trilogy

and other preludes and epiludes to the Foundation, it has

always been a wonder to me if Pyschohistory is possible in this

reality.

Hari Seldon invented this branch of science, using complex forms

of mathematics derived from the statistics of human history. The

goal is to gather the economic/social trends of of the past and

present..then tanscribed those trends into mathematic formulas.

When every economic/social trend is covered and converted,

you'll have the tool to predict the future, by means of the past

and present. Simple eh?

Now imagine the advantages of psychohistory: Economic

disasters, political unrests, and social unrests are all predicted.

Some disasters cannot be stopped, but a knowledge before hand

may allowed for preparations to defend against.

Asimov was a clear genius in all his novels...i think his message is clear

with psychohistory. It must be possible!

Alright, your objections and oppositions to psychohistory? or

support?

I think that Asimov stretched it a bit. Gaming theories do try to predict human responses but are far from ideal. The human system is chaotic and there for we will only be able to estimate the future. Just as the weather we will never be able to know for sure whats going to happen.
