I've begun reading the Way by Swann's, but I'm not sure I'm reading the best translation. It's good, but is it accurate?
I'm reading the Lydia Davis translation, Penguin 2002. Can I do better than this?
It translate the title as "In Search of Lost Time" - is "In Remembrance of Things Past" more accurate? (I think it is at least more poetic)
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
(Is it hopeless to read the translation? I had already concluded such with Nietzsche, and my German improves daily).
