The other day, I bought Resident Evil 3: Nemesis for my PSX. Now, my PSX is one of the originals. not the Dual Shock version, so this thing is about 6 or seven years old. Anyway, when I put the game in my console and turn it on, I get the white screen with the SCEA logo on it and then the screen with the PlayStation logo after it, but then, it doesn't go any farther. Either that happens of the first white screen comes up then, it goes to a screen that says, "Insert PlayStation CD-ROM". I've checked the disk for scratches but there are none.

I also have a demo disk for RE3 and I tried that, but the same thing happened. All my other games work fine. does anyone know why this game won't work in my PSX?

The tracker in the psx is dirty, just wipe the dust out.

The chip in the psx is probably hanging out and needs to be pushed back in or the psx, the tracker on the cd drive is probably dusty.

If i'm going to wipe the dust off, I need to know what to use to wipe it with.

A PSX disk cleaner should do it, it will sort out the tracker, you cant wipe the dust out, unless you take the psx apart, but theirs no need to do that, arkward to put back into place .

If find pure alcohol with a cuetip is good for cleaning the psx laser.
