    Doesn't surprise me

The U.S. has been doing this for decades. Since the 'allies' don't have that much clout, something the article failed to mention, I believe the U.S. had total control over what was printed and what wasn't. The U.S. goes into a country, rapes the country with bombs, drilling for oil, diamonds, trees, what have you, then they go wash their hands off. To bad these 'demons', the people behind the coverups, in the U.S. don't realize that there is no washroom in hell!

    Not exactly an unbiased reference.
Can you second-source this at all?

    :m: Peace.

Yes they have always done it but now they are going further into making the American mainstrean Press *which has for the larger part already discredded itself as no more than a mouth piece for the government* officially part of the army making sure there is no rouge reporting going on that might show the truth *heaven forbid!*.
I've said it before and I'll say it again it seems the current American Government is not only go further and faster than all its predecessors but they seem to take pride in shoving it in our faces and expecting us to continue to act like idiots who cant really see past the propoganda.
Unfortunatly there are those out there that seem to proove them right.

Goofy is right. The source is very unbias... I dont think that the World Socialist Website would ever lie.

Lol i know its not exactly a neutral media but at least the worst i've seen them do is a bit of bashing i've not seen them promote blatant lies as truth like a lot of other media outlets, yet, or do something as stupid as this claiming an official line which im sure can easily be checked.

I've only been reading them for about a month or two but it's been some heavy reading.

But fair play i will double source it.

Ill check back along the WSWS on metions first, CNN and the Gaurdian.

I went out of my way to get coverage from the other side of the "political" fence here so ^_^

I still think this is a bit of a ploy though but i also am not Unbiased but thats the good thing about being able to use the net huh ^_^ talking to more people with more opinions.

Anyone seen the "Conditioning" you go under in the US army?
I'm sure a lot of you may even of been IN the US army so.
Being in a Front line squad and having to go where they go the squads with "embedded" reporters can easily be sent where they want them to go away from anything they dont want them to see.
They will be conditioned to stick with and watch out for the squad, they will be with and surrounded by them so i dont see how this will be helpful.
They will not be able to broadcast until the materials are vetted once on the battle field and transmitted only when the Commander is happy it is safe to do so.
Then its vetted again back home by the media agency themselves.

Also bearing in mind the Government chooses who goes and who doesn't, this isnt a mix of reporters its who America wants to go, so that again isn't that helpful especially if its reporters of the like that have been churning out the Trash all over the American Media at the moment.

Just my opinion, a lot of people will think this is a good thing and proof of America having nothing to hide but i'm very sceptical.

*To be honest i still dont see why Dubbya is getting mad at the UN not having found evidence of WMD, if he had of just sent in the LAPD they would of had evidence planted by the next weekend lol*

I mean the mentality of why they are doing this by this quote alone shows this really isn't for the good of honest coverage.
History has shown America is great on freedom of speech and showing the truth as long as it makes them look good.

"We made a huge mistake trying to restrict press coverage in the first Gulf War because of our Vietnam mentality," says retired Gen. Wesley Clark. "We had a 1st Armored Division tank battle that was just incredible, perhaps the biggest armored battle ever, but not a single image was reported or documented for history by the press. I hope we don't make that mistake again."

But if it's making them look bad you'll bet it's not going to get shown.
Not to mention sticking them in the middle of a fighting unit, even unarmed, or especially unarmed depending on how you look at it is actually putting them in more danger in my opinion.
Again i'm probably not qualified to make that comment but thats why its an opinion.

I kinda pictured him in the basement...
one bare bulb lighting the room...
standing on his chair while typing with one hand...
the other waving a cigarette madly in the air...
a bunch of empty coffee cups scattered on the desk and floor...

Damn i knew i saw someone at the window.

Hey i've been spending the last 2 days building this dang server at work watching blue bars go across the screen so between other odds and sods i pop on to read up on a few things and reply to some posts on here.

Not my fault your all slow typers =/
At least im trying to post seriously, could be worse.

If you check the times of my posts youll see i only come on every so often and just work my way down the posts to anything im interested in and read/or reply then i'm off again for a while.
