So, from the vast defense budget and to try and improve things in Iraq, particularly amongst Iraqi civilians, The U.S marines that are to be deployed in Iraq are now to undergoe cultural training in fabricated villages.

Thank you for demonstrating why all fabrications are to be equally disrespected.

You're not convincing.

Sorry.

IF only the invaders in past wars learnt their victim's cultures before they invaded.... Of course, you could convert them in past wars....

If only losers could choose their own losing champions.

Oh, sorry.

I would be happy if we could just figure out how to tell the diffrence between the guys we need to kill and the guys we do not need to kill yet. Unfortunately that is a skill beyond the ken of mortal men, not even being possessed by the Iraqis themselves.

Right. This is why guerilla warfare is so successful.

And why there is no obtainable military solution in Iraq within the national interests of the USA.

Potemkin villages aren't going to turn this fiasco around.

Putting fences around the oil fields, guarding oil pipelines, and prestaging for next year's attack on Iran aside, I concur.

What is so unusual about this? for every deployment that I was ever on there was a pre-deployment cultural training session.

So you agree that the failure to do this before the Iraq occupation was a serious screwup ?

Years after Fallujah, US soldiers were still kicking in doors - probably still are, in Petraeus surge.

I think it's too late. It might have made a difference early on.

Hay dip sh-t they were doing this before we went into Iraq, they were doing this when my Father served in WWII, it is part of every deployment, it hasn't changed from the time that I went into service, in 1969, and it is still a part of deployment training for every swinging pair today, Why don't you do a little basic research, your ignorance pity full, you don't know your Constitution, You don't know squat about the Military, you don't know your Civics, you don't know your History, you don't know your Government, your a walking advertisement for what is wrong with the education system today,
