    New topic....

    Hello,

I was trying to know more about potential energy in another topic here.

    Simply, I want to know:-

Will there be some measurable thermodynamic changes in any substance on application of any force (four fundamental forces) on it and on variations in its potential energy? If yes, please tell in some detail.

    Best wishes.

I think, thermodynamic changes should occur on variations in applied forces in any substance(even in atoms). As such, why thermodynamic changes due to variations in applied gravitational forces as a result of change in position should be accounted in arriving at potential energy?

In another thought, if thermodynamic changes can occur in any substance on variations of its potential energy, why such measured thermodynamic changes can be express potential energy on factual measurement basis?
