About a month back I was talking to some guy from the British Army, I asked him how I could make a potato cannon, he told me everything but I didn’t write it down, I have forgotten most of it too.

Can anyone here (sciforums - intelligent community) help me out?

This is just for fun, I might even put some videos up if all goes well.

And rockets! How can I make rockets?

Just go to a hobby shop - they should have a selection of rocket engines, or be able to tell you where to look. I'm unsure about restrictions on sale, but if you're over 18 I don't imagine you'll have any problems.
Easier and cheaper (though obviously less impressive) are water rockets: see http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/pagrosse/h2oRocketIndex.htm for more detailed information.
As for making your own from scratch, you need a pyrotechnics license in the UK.

A friend of mine made an air powered potato launcher out of PVC pipe. I'm sure you can find instructions on the internet somewhere. He also built it into a surplus military rocket launcher so it looks real.

Oh yes there was. I found all the information I needed to build on in seconds using google. Seems you're too lazy to look. You'll never get one made with that attitude, so why bother asking?

Potato cannons. Geez! Are you starting a war with your neighbor? Rather than tell you how a potato cannon works, I think it would be more effective for you to slam a handfull of mashed potatoes in his face. What kind've neighbor feud you have going?

Did everyone who can even fake a positive attitude go off somewhere? Sheez, it really is always September on the Internet.

This is a good place to look for people who have experience with this kind of thing. I don't, unfortunately.
