Yep I cannot go to any goddamn website besides this one. Because every link I click on redirects to a porn site.

Example ; www.yahoo.com/mail.html it turns to www.cocksuckingpoo.com/mail.html and it redirects me to porn sites. Also sometimes it spontaneously just changes to porn sites. What the hell is this

You might want to search your computer for a file called "hosts". It should be in the System32 or System folder. Open it with wordpad or notepad and see if there are any values other than your localhost. This is the only fix I can think of so far. I'll post back if I can think of anything else.

Yep hosts files are great for messing with, you can find them on most computers I think. I know that all Linux systems tend to have a hosts file and the later windows systems make more of a song and dance about them.

To just explain what a hosts file is, It was originally developed as a Static method to address other systems on a network by assigning IP's (#.#.#.#) with systems names or domain names (Terminal1 or www.domain.com).

This was before the real use of DNS servers, which allowed more "Dynamic Interaction" to allow for systems to be taken offline or put online on large networks and the internet.

All hosts files usually start with a line like:

    Code:
    127.0.0.1 Localhost

This is how "loopback's" are created, it basically tells the system that any call to IP 127.0.0.1 can be refered also as Localhost.

However it is possible to add others to the hosts file for instance the following would make any attempt to load the domain name www.jugs-r-us.com to load from 127.0.0.1, or your Localhost. Since the majority of us don't serve anything on our computers, it will cause it to not load anything up:

    Code:
    127.0.0.1 [url]www.jugs-r-us.com[/url]

However this also causes a potential "Exploit" (which can be quite amusing) For instance this next one could be misused (I apologise to the party used for this demo).

    Code:
    62.129.136.111 [url]www.fbi.gov[/url]

If that was entered into a Web servers hosts file, an anchor of http://www.fbi.gov/mostwanted.html would actually be pointing to http://62.129.136.111/mostwanted.html (which is some dodgy pay per view site I think, I was actually looking for Bonzikittens.com but the trick didn't work

    btw, mostwanted.html doesn't exist on either I think. )

Also if it was entered into your hosts file, everytime you try to see if they've got any more terrorist left, your going to end up with some pr0n site.

Most government sites no adays "No longer resolve their IP address to a HTTP server" this is to try and combat this type of exploit.

(It was one of the most used exploits with credit fraud until the major utilisation of SSL servers and HTTPS protocols)

Hope this helps you to understand what's occured to your computer or server your attempting to connect with.

I would update your virus scanner and do a full computer scan. It sounds like you have a spam bot virus or something. Either that or your friends have really weird tastes in pranks.

Check your Add/Remove Programs from your Control Panel (if you are running Windows).
Anything in there that looks suspicious or that you don't recognize?

    Be careful, though.
Just because you don't recognize the name, it doesn't necessarily mean you don't use it.

    22 virusses? damn

After you have removed them you prolly have to clean your host file itself. Oh and some virusses require additional working to get rid of. You should check the page I provided and check which virusses you have to work on and follow the steps taken there.

Create dates can be helpful here. Get the date you nstalled Windows, games, etc., and if its a screwy date, likely you didn't put it there.

Or if you still have backup CD's, if there's no important data in your comp,

just reinstall the O/S or something. Brute force method.

Can I ask a question...is IE really that unstable? I mean...if you download the latest versions of it, you shouldn't really have any problems at all. WHat browser did you get instead?
