Hi, i visited the beach some days ago, and the beach water now has become equivalent to the gutter black liquid; i.e.contamination. I think these gutters bring drainage also from the east side of mumbai. What do you think, is it good that the gutter channelisation through main city and that too open? Planting of trees, limiting vehicle pollution, slum litter disposal. Is this modern? I will have to buy a gasmask and a oxygen tank. I want expert suggestions - nawaz kunal pagare khan

I think starting with education people about recycling habbits and sociably-responsible acting is a priority in resolving pollution issues. Not though hi-tech machines cleaning the debree and garbage...or bacteria eating away all that is there...or filtration systems...neither can beat the mind of people.

As with any run off water you should always filter out the pollution before it enters a waterway anywhere. Only with proper filtration will contaminates be removed and avoid the mess that unfiltered water will bring. There are may ways to filter water and you can find them on Goggle I'm sure.

I had read in my school biology, that accumulation of drainage creates septic atmosphere. The place where i live is a residential building from which 2km radius there is a clowd of faecal smell. There are many such places in mumbai where people live in hazard with smell sense dead. - nawaz kunal pagare khan

I did my schooling from 8th to 10th in a place called surat from year 1995 to 1997, in that from the principal to every of my classmate were of shantytown. The surat city is a big slum. Many of the suratis...punjabis, bengalis etc still visit their hometown dharavi in mumbai. I think the WHO, UN, Greenpeace and wwf should do all the cleaning. - nawaz kunal pagare khan

The chief source which has contributed to the water pollution is the human beings. Human beings needs the water at par and though a big contributor in the water pollution. The sweet water in the form of rivers and ponds are so polluted that it has come to the level of extinction. Industries are the biggest source of water pollution. Who are releasing large amount of hazardous waste into our water resources. In order to do proper treatment of this waste water consultant like jnblabs.com/ must be contacted
