I have seen some reasonable ideas in this subforum. Unfortunately, they don´t get much attention. Due to the quorum (minimum of 50 votes) I haven´t seen one proposal come to life so far. Sciforums has constantly over 300 active users, about 10 of them are logged in. I am sure that many of them like to say what they think about the proposals but they just don´t see them.

My idea is to have SF Open Government polls in the main screen of our beloved forum. In that way ideas posted here would get more attention and that means more feedback.
    Power to the people!

That would just get in the way. My feelings are that if they just don't care, no need to force it down their throat. If someone were passionate enough about their idea, perhaps they could PM all the members they could think of to get their attention.

Why is the quorum set at fifty votes?

Probably because 50 of the 300 active posters are all that really matter. Seems most people just come, post, then leave. Those like me troll around looking to add my 2 cents and any change to SF would influence my trolling

There are not 300 active members here. Not nearly. :bugeye:
