Find out were you stand on a 2D poltical spectrum test, a little bit better then a standard right/left test but still leaves alot to be desired.

Please post your results: here are mine:

Economic Left/Right: -3.50
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -2.56

Sadly I'm not quite as good as Gandhi, Nelson Mandela or the dalai lama, though one must wonder how they got their test results.

There are too many issues where I do not have adequate experience or knowledge about to make a true and decisive stand. Personally, I know myself to be a 100% liberal on social issues, and really, that's all I can be certain about. But I also know myself to be a pragmatist. I have little patience for inflexible ideologues and "holier-than-thou" types.

According to this test, I'm about centre of the bottom left quadrant. I'm not so sure this correctly reflects my left vs. right views (I'm closer to the centre, I think), but the libertarian slant is accurate enough.

go me :P

although i dont trust this chart - assuming the closer (in distance) the dots are, the more similar the people are then;
stalin is closer to ghandi then thatcher
hitler is closer to thatcher then stalin

which doesnt make sense to me

I landed right on top of George Bush. How boring. But the amusing impression that I'm left with is that probably about 3 credible people in the whole of history fit into that bottom left quadrant, yet the majority the pop-intellectual uni-campus dwellers that love to share their opinions and pollute internet forums across the world would all fit there. Oh the tyranny of idealism over the modern mind

Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -7.64

I think its telling that Bush, Berlisconi, Sharone, and Hitler all are in the same quadrant.
