View Full Version : Pluto and the dinosaurs.
Bebelina 08-19-02, 03:14 PM So, I was sitting at the beach a few hours ago wondering about things, when it occured to me that Pluto must have come as a comet and hit the Earth and killed the dinosaurs and then bumbed off and got stuck in orbit. Have you ever thought of that?
No, cause everybody knows dinosaurs evolved into birds.
(which one you suppose the T-Rex evolved into? :D)
Bebelina 08-19-02, 03:31 PM No, that is just a theory, we know nothing for sure. I find my theory more intriguing.
Although T-rex is probably a sparrow by now. :D
I know the commet theory is most probable.
People who know more about astronomy could give you a more probable origin of Pluto.
But it is good theory. :)
if it had been Pluto that had hit the earth, they would never have found any fossils.
As it to big Pluto that is.
Bebelina 08-19-02, 04:14 PM I think Pluto had grown since then, it was a smaller comet before.
that couls also explain the very strange orbit of Pluto.
not sure about the probability of your theory though
it's a good theory:), but we need some astronomer to say his thoughts
To be honest, I'm thinking far more about Bebelina at the beach... :D
Bebelina 08-19-02, 06:32 PM Hey, stop it!
Yes- we were just talking with Adam about you on ICQ:p:)
.
btw- Adam couraged me to ask you if you plan to make some male designs:D (no need really- I have no money)
.
I love your designs , but fear that I would get beaten up if wearing them:(

:D :D
Bebelina 08-20-02, 06:16 AM You must not fear being called a fairy if you are going to wear my clothes.
I always plan on making a male collection, maybe some day I actually will. :)
"Don't fear the fairy!" will be the slogan of that collection. :D
I find most male business suits are the same and very boring. We really need something different.
Getting everyone dressed up in something to go in the water would be dangerous, if people got tangled up or enclosed in it they could drown.
And I'd much rather think about the Bebelina-at-the-beach bit... :p

Not unless Pluto is a giant rocketship. Fact is, it would take some serious deceleration to plunge Pluto down to Earth orbit, and then some very serious acceleration to push it back out to where it is today, and then yet more work to put it into the elliptical orbit it now inhabits. Simply put, things just don't work that way. Nice try though. :p
Bebelina 08-20-02, 04:59 PM Well, assume Pluto was a smaller comet at first, that with a dazzling speed entered our solar system, at the time when the dinosaurs were kings, and just browsed at the surface and continued away from Eart. Then this rubbing with Earth slowed down its speed, so it got caught in the suns gravityfield. Since it was smaller before, this is possible. Then it has been around for a while and gained some mass. It's logical.
it would have been hard-
there are some problems-
why didn't this large comet get pulled to one of our bigger planets by their powerful gravitational field like Jupiter or Saturn on the way to it's current orbit
Bebelina 08-20-02, 05:17 PM It probably slowed down gradually due to the other planets gravitationfields that it had to pass on its way out of the solarsystem, but the it didn't have enough speed left to get out of it and then got stuck in orbit.
"Don't fear the fairy!" will be the slogan of that collection.

You have to fear the fairy,or walk around with metal trousers on!
:o :D :D
Bebelina 08-20-02, 05:35 PM Is that so? You would then like a pair of these steelpanties?
With the slogan properly engraved? :D
Bebelina 08-20-02, 05:40 PM They will be part of the Armour Amour collection.
Lovely reply Bebelina,I will order the steel panties!
:D :o
Bebelina 08-20-02, 05:49 PM Just let me contact the blacksmith.
When I was an apprentice,we made a suit of armour,as we were putting it on to another one of the apprentices, the manger of the firm came in.
We all ran away,as it was not allowed to use the firms metal that way.
We had made it wrong ie not enough joints & the apprentice that was wearing got caught.
He got a BIG warning but no other trouble as they knew it had taken many of us to make it.
:D :D
Bebelina 08-20-02, 06:02 PM Shouldn't they instead have been proud that they were displayed with such sense of innovation from their apprentices? :p
but they took it away & cut it up!
:( :(
Bebelina 08-20-02, 06:20 PM Oh, how horrible!
But now you can take up the old practice again and get revenge, by joining the loving sect of Pinkeye and start constructing those steelpanties. :D
And then, as the grand finale, you will proudly walk into their old and damp office wearing the gay protective gear, and say: You don't fuck with me now!
Firefly 08-21-02, 05:49 AM I can't quite see it bouncing...

Sorry, that wouldnt work. :) An interesting idea, but as a general rule, things that hit planets don't keep going. Even if a comet comes in at a very shallow angle, if it hits the ground, it's not going to just bounce back into space. Things CAN skip off the atmosphere, but then that wouldnt have caused the extinction of the dinosaurs. There is a theory, though, that pluto is the innermost and probably the largest of a bunch of comet-like chunks of junk out a ways beyond neptune's orbit. I think its called the "Kuiper belt".
So, interesting idea, but i don't think it would work. :)
Bebelina 08-26-02, 06:31 AM Well, I still think it does. I think it is a sensational discovery. ;)
