This is one little addictive game, I am working on level 17 right now:

God I cannot even remember the rules long enough to know what I am doing.=

Good Game. 17 i think was the hardest.

yeah, the levels are not in order of strength. Also, it looks like always the same combinations come up when you restart the game...

And the algorithm to solve it looks straightforward. Plus, it is made easier because the order of the moves doesn't matter that much.

The order does matter though. Just check out the first 2 puzzles.

It would be interesting if the computer could generate more puzzles randomly....

Well, the order doesn't matter much. You can separate the diagrams into regions where order matters and regions where order doesn't...i.e. the two parts of the diagrams are disconnected in the sense that they don't affect each other.

Try Hyperframe (http://www.shockwave.com/contentPlay/shockwave.jsp?id=hyperframe). Another great thinking game.

I have just found this, has a timelimit, so you have to act fast:

I got stuck in level 12 and I am not sure how to solve it. Anybody?

Edit: I am up at level 17 in Silversphere

I think this one is more interesting and requires timing too, much harder than Planned.

It would be interesting if the computer could generate more puzzles randomly.... It strikes me that it might not be all that easy to do that - - is there some obvious way to spot impossibility, aside from some box not corner-aligned with anything, or more than six steps away from anything?

Are the patterns produced unique - the final pattern always the same, in the puzzles actually presented? I think they are in a couple of them - - -

Thank god it's over. Level 15 raised my blood pressure considerably :)

Most levels were pretty straightforward and I got them within 1 to 3 attempts. 18 was a letdown. I was expecting something hardcore, but as you're saying: they're not in order of difficulty.

FIN!

Quite a cool game.

Some from newgrounds:
Warp Forest (http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/357374) is a great puzzle/arcade game.
ArmorpicCross (http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/304506) is pure puzzle.
Rings and Sticks (http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/366028) is original and quite difficult.

I love silversphere. Like Sokoban, with extras.

Level 22 is just annoying

Edit: So is level 23. Quick to figure out the solution, long frustration going through the motions of implementing it.

Edit: Gaah! 24 too! A chancy timing element right at the end!

This is becoming too frustrating.

Edit: Level 25 was easier. It's the last level.

I am stuck at level 17 (?) where the solution is easy, I just can't execute it quickly enough. There are 3 boxes and 2 golden balls to avoid, but I can't push fast enough...Is there a trick how I can move them to avoid the gold balls?

A similar and my old time favorite game is Sapphire Yours, made by an Austrian team. It has 100s of levels, including a level editor. It is a spinoff of the famous Commodore 64 game, Boulder Dash.

What's the level code for 17? Edit - nevermind :)

Do the top one first. When you can get that one, the others are easy :)
You can't afford to pause at all while going around the center square. You have to make every turn perfectly smooth. This means pushing the key to change direction slightly before you need to turn.

Be careful not to get stuck as you're pushing the last box into place.

I remember playing Boulder Dash well into the night. Great stuff :)

Well, I figured that much. I prefer games where thinking counts more then speed.
Here is Sapphire Yours, you gonna love it, I promise!

Me too. Silversphere is a great idea, but has too many arcade elements in the level design for my taste. The next few levels:
18, 19, 21 are good.
20, 22, 23, 24 are annoying levels with speed playing a major part. Once you've figured out the solution, you might as well just skip to the next level.
25 is OK.

Level Codes:
18 Temple
19 Courtyard
20 Tunnel
21 Traverse
22 Stampede
23 Pressure
24 Accuracy
25 Labyrinth

Thanks for the codes, I appreciate them. The game should have a solution (help) feature...

Also got Fin. didn't realize until level 15 the corners had to touch, I thought any part could touch.
