Let's presume I want to create website through which people can donate money to a particular bank account.
Are there any international alternatives to PayPal?

p.s. PayPal doesn't offer that service to bank accounts in Latvia.

Humm, thanks, but I'm weary to trust Russians with money.
Have you tried that system yourself, or anyone you know?

I'll have to read a bit, my Russian is not very fast, but it's no problem.

World pay looks good, but too high a cost, too high for a non-profit.

Fair enough, Only mentioned it as I know a few people/companies that use it.

It is best to try and find an authentic system where they deal with credit transactions, otherwise you have to go into the whole rigmarole of writing security software for storing user data and giving all the legal information about how safe your security actually is.

Another company with payment services is daopay.com ?
Some business friends of mine are working with them (highly suited for micropayments I heard)

There is www.nochex.com , but I think it's pretty UK-centric. The account would be in £ sterling.

Bank transfers are another possibility? Not as the only option, but as an alternative method for your customers/donations.
