Pass me! PASS ME, YOU PRE-SAPIENT NUTCHOMPER*!

Here's a clue. When I am going 10 mph over the speed limit (65 in a 55) in the right lane, and the left lane is empty from here to infinity, please feel free to pull your goddamned car into the freaking left lane and pass me! Do not drive one foot behind my car, or I will take my foot off the gas and let the car go slower and slower and slower... I got down to 40 mph before the brain-dead simian changed lanes.

*Feel free to replace "nutchomper" with "nutsucker", or any other word you find more esthetically pleasing.

    Peace.

P.S. The Fish has been feeling tense recently, and is venting.

    i HATE people tail-gating me

Its about the only thing when driving that drives me up the wall

Its scary, especially when your in a little car like a corolla and there in a big 4 wheel drive or something

I always get this urge to slam on the brakes when people do it

    COME ON, 2 SECOND GAP

(now ive got that off my chest i can stop ranting)

I do the same. If someone drives up way too close behind me, I slow down until they back off or change lanes. And if they get too upset, well, I'm usually bigger and meaner than them.

It never fails to amaze me. Here in the states we have these nice, huge, 4 lane interstates. With two, count them, two lanes going in the same direction. There is always someone who thinks that the inside lane is their personal route, put there by courtesy of the state and federal government for their sole use.

To add insult to injury, except in the cities, most places there is a minimum speed of 45 mph. Somehow, the manufacturers of these automobiles neglected to put speedometers within their cars. They have no earthly idea how fast they are going but they don't wish to break the law and speed.

I have no problem with people driving slowly (yes people driving in the right lane is a problem) but tailgaters are still the ONLY group of people who make me mad because they scare me

Other than that i follow what i said in the other thread and just concentrate on my OWN driving

    Question ...

Any auto race you watch, be it NASCAR or F1, you see 'tailgating'
(drafting) at speeds in excess of 120 mph, sometimes as high as
    180 or more mph.

So why do people get so upset when someone is, usually, six to
eight feet behind them at speeds usually well below 70 mph.

    Could never understand it.

    Take care

Drivers out on the roads aren't so skilled. They are idiots. They crash and kill people all the time.

You wouldn't like my commuting route. 30 miles of traffic varying from 40 to 80 mph with usually not enough gaps to put a small car in.

It's the full moon. Things get back to normal later in the week when all that hair growth slows down.

Time of the month? Full Moon?
I would have to agree except the full effects are being visited
on the employees at a client site where I am presently located.
It has been the land of the perpetual hair fire from the start.

    Peace.
