I've seen them, and I'm probably using the wrong name for them, but I'm sure you'll know what I'm talking about. Occasionally you click on a link, and the website it goes to immediately takes you to another site. Assuming that there's something interesting in the first site, is there a way to defeat the code that moves you on?

    Never seen them.

I assume it only happens when surfing porn..

Get the only competent firewall, Agnitum Outpost Pro, and you can disable redirects and so on. Until then, I don't know of any single utility for such a thing. You can always keep your finger on Esc the whole time..

Care to show any example links?

I encountered them on a couple of sites that were not porn, but I can't think of what they were right now.

DO you mean where it automatically redirects you to another site?

it happens to me on ebay, i often get moved on to some site advertising stolen good or something, they just loose out on a sale because if i cant even trust their webpage to treat me well then there is no way im going to give them money, i mean what if they 'redirect' that......

I would guess your talking about either META TAG redirects that occur after a given amount of time, or ones that are triggered by an event (like OnMouseOver or OnLoad in the BODY tag)

Theres not much you can do to stop them taking you to where ever they have been setup, Although the OnLoad method usually uses Javascript or Some other script (JScript or VBScript) to do the redirect, so you could attempt to turn scripting off.

No, where you say, get a link in Google, and you click on the link, but you bypass that site completely, going to one that sometimes has nothing to do with the first.
