I think parenting deserves its own forums. I usually dump those in free thoughts, but I think it is important enough... probably right below the human sciences forums.....

Then there'll be a subforum just for the kiddies, a sort of child care centre while the parents are doing chores around the house. Baron Max shall moderate.

No. Please [insert deity of choice here], no.

There are forums dedicated solely to parenting TS. If you want to discussing parenting issues, try looking there.

Sciforums isn't a hacker resort. I guess you can say that there are Underground sites for those sort of activities which deal with their own legal actions should they cause mischief on the internet, in Sciforums case it's not here to promote illegal activities. Although many of it's posters all too happily reference their illicit activities with disregard to just how non-anonymous they really are.

(I might sound a complete net nanny to it, however I know what trouble can occur from such sites. For instance you get a skript kiddie jealous that your H4xOr sploit site is getting more hits than there's so they have two options: Defacement or the campaign or spam. This either means they go about trying to hack your site, which is obviously going to be easy if you are using a CMS renowned for X-Scripting attacks or they start spamming the internet with links to your site in spam mails. Sometimes they might even just leech your stuff and use up your bandwidth or further still take one project and just rewrite it a little to call it their own. The last thing we need on this forum is Kiddies hitting puberty and exacting their playa hater nature towards those of the mortal coil.)

In it's heyday Sciforums was actually about Science and Technology related articles and discussion, it slowly evolved to have other forums which are 'Unscientific'. (i.e. World News and Events) this was mainly contributed to by 9/11 and has been a forever active topic.

IMHO, I'd probably Axe those forums altogether since it's the same activists with the same campaigns posting the same material (usually under different username's when they get banned) The main reason they post here is because sites that actually deal with the news tend to CENSOR their thoughts (by not submitting their articles or just deleting them).

They then have the audacity to bitch and complain when a moderator gives them a warning or infraction here even though to the most part their 'article' is left intact.

As for a Parenting forum, we'll it should technically already be covered by Psychology since at the end of the day a Parent has to deal with psychological strains and emotional complexities caused not just by the children but being a parent itself.

Parenting forum? What for? So the same people who don't even have kids can give some more of their expert advice?

If you want to discuss parenting topics in Human Sciences, by all means, knock yourself out. I mean do you really want to give dragon nappy changing information for his "internet baby"?

I just do not think we need a separate forum dedicated solely to 'parenting'. There are forums that are parenting forums, inhabited by parents and sometimes they are moderated and administered by parenting experts.

are these forums moderated and administered by seance experts? Could you summarize your expertise for instance on the human sciences?
