I know some of you already know this but I thought I would stick a post up on it since it's a sensative subject for Sony "fanboys".

Both URL's indeed state that the PS3 in Europe has now been delayed until March, which the Release in the USA and Japan go ahead as planned.

What reasons could there be for this Second delay?

As quoted on the BBC from Mr Kutaragi
"... Sony has decided to focus on the US and Japan in the run-up to Christmas."

It goes on to suggest that the sophisticated technology for the Blu-ray (the diode to be precise) isn't being manufactured fast enough. However this is understandible if you look into Sony's history with the release of PS2. Only a limited number were made in time and people queue for hours trying to glimps one let alone purchase one.

They probably would have the exact same problem by trying to create units for world sales, so cutting off one region will hopefully boost available units in the other regions. One thing that people that have pre-order a unit in Europe should consider is that when (if) they get their Unit, it should have no bugs, since two regions will have already run the live testing for a couple of months.

btw, Nows the time to buy Sony shares :)

I'm not worried, I'm loving my Xbox 360 at the moment.

Buy as people sell because the share value decreases, then the returns from the US and Japan sales will increase the stock again, eventually the European release will take the stock further. At least thats the guestimate, will have to try one of those stock simulators to find out.

but what if the price of shares does not increase for a year, you have put your money into a failing business
