Ten-year-old Palestinian Mohammed Faqih is brought into Rafidiyeh hospital in Nablus after he was shot in the head when Israeli troops opened fire at stone-throwers in the northern West Bank village of Beit Umrin, 20km north of Nablus.

Palestinian Mohammed Abdel Qader, 11, who was wounded during clashes with Israeli forces in the village of Beit Imreen is carried into the hospital in the West Bank city of Nablus, Saturday, Feb. 28, 2004.

Two photos of the same man carrying the same 'palestinian' boy into a hospital, with a very conspicuous head bandage and red smears on his hands, but no apparent obvious injuries.

And two different names and ages for the boy.

If the 'palestinian' boy really did have a head injury, then his hands should be limply dangling by his side. But as the pictures reveal, he is propping them up.

I wonder how many times this boy was used.

ok... just so goofy won't close this...

the question is, how reliable is the "information" coming from the master manipulator Arafat, his cronies, or the PA population in general?

how can western news broadcasters be trusted if their main goal is to profit-maximize, and not to deliver "the truth" ?

every one has to make some profit, and everyone has to get paid.
good news just don't sell because people are just not interested. why not prop this shit up a little eh?
dramatize, sensationalize, throw in a nice emotional background music, and you've got a nice product. the investors will be proud!
who cares if in the process you're brainwashing your viewers? right?

If the 'palestinian' boy really did have a head injury, then his hands should be limply dangling by his side. Why? You can have a head injury and remain conscious.how can western news broadcasters be trusted if their main goal is to profit-maximize...I am hoping that "western" does not mean the US in this case, as Yahoo is merely presenting one of the pictures as it was represented by the Agence France-Presse. I do not argue that your premise is wrong, but it is not necessarily applicable in this case.

so you're defending this, goofy?

You can have a head injury and remain conscious.
when some joe hears about a "head injury" he's thinking brain damage or broken neck.
if it's some cuts and bruises on the head they should use another word.
in this case it's probably not even that

I am hoping that "western" does not mean the US in this case
"western" mean non-arab/muslim... basically european and north american

Yahoo is merely presenting one of the pictures as it was represented by the Agence France-Presse

even if yahoo did this innocently (arguable)
and even if "agence france-presse" did this completely by mistake (arguable)
the PA residents or gov't did not. they use every opportunity they can get their hands on to spread propaganda and lies, such as this, and the western press just can't get enough... no body checks anything either

and this was just one example. this is a sampling of the typical coverage of western news outlets about the palestinian terrorism campaign

so you're defending this, goofy?Did I not say, "I do not argue that your premise is wrong"?when some joe hears about a "head injury" he's thinking brain damage or broken neck.Which can still leave you conscious and/or able to move."western" mean non-arab/muslimUnderstood....even if "agence france-presse" did this completely by mistake... PA residents or gov't did not. they use every opportunity they can get their hands on to spread propaganda and lies...There is no information that the Palestinian Authority had any connection with the information supplied to news agencies in this matter. You making that assumption in this case puts you in the same category as those you revile. As for residents, you could ask two people in my neighborhood what a child's name is, and easily get two answers. And that during a time of no stress - people are fallible....the western press just can't get enough... no body checks anything either...As I said - I won't argue this either. It is why I don't limit myself to "typical" "western" news outlets.

:m: Peace.

hmm... why would the PA spread lies about the Israelis? such honest people and government

you could ask two people in my neighborhood what a child's name is, and easily get two answers
of course. this is one big misunderstanding.
i'm sure the doctor, and the boy's relatives don't know his age or name

It is why I don't limit myself to "typical" "western" news outlets
that's good.
but who are you going to trust then?
the arab media? HA! surely you don't read Jpost, or IsraelNN
and the small outlets are typically conspiracy-theory oriented, with their own little agendas, who often get their info from the big guys or regular agencies anyway

hmm... why would the PA spread lies about the Israelis? such honest people and government... You are now talking about the "big picture" and are no doubt right. All sides do it, naturally. I am speaking of this one particular instance that you have raised here, and there is no information either way.of course. this is one big misunderstanding. i'm sure the doctor, and the boy's relatives don't know his age or name...Who says they were asked? Sure that would be the proper course, but it does not always happen. And it does not necessarily follow that, because it might not have happened here, that there was some sort of conspiracy of disinformation involved....but who are you going to trust then?No single outlet. I read a variety of publications and websites - I seldom watch television news - and try to get as varied a viewpoint as possible.

Oh the West is against the God's Chosen people, what a shame. Can some one please tell them the Otheadp and his people are chosen ones? and no one should point finger at them? :D

Sarcasm for the 3 year olds? barely.

He never said anything about them saying they need better treatment, but equal. Jews in the last millenium were NOT treated fairly and far from beeing chosen, they were persecuted and killed. His demand for proper reporting is just and you might just showed something of yourself by your little racist comment.

Allmost every trick in the book and outside the book has been or will be used in this conflict on both sides of the fence.

This includes staging fake events, or probclaiming real events to be fake events.
