I found this little gem today in the papers and I found myself laughing until my sides hurt. PETA are really heading down hill with some of their members. It appears that one of their members has only now realised after many years that "sheepskin" is actually "sheepskin", as in the skin from a sheep. Yes that's right, Pamela Anderson, the fake boobed boob, has only just realised that her favourite booties are made from the skin off a sheep. I have to wonder, what did she think the term "sheepskin" actually meant? Someone should remind her that sheep are sheared and not shaved. And honestly, did she think some poor soul sat there and "shaved" the sheep "kindly" and then glued them onto faux leather? :bugeye:
I am glad she is now on-board with 21st century ethics (15th century counting Leonardo*) toward other sentient beings. An ex-Nazi is better than a Nazi, even if they are still a blond ditz. * Of Leonardo: 'He delighted much in horses and also in all other animals, and often when passing by the places where they sold birds he would take them out of their cages, and paying the price that was asked for them, would let them fly away into the air, restoring to them their lost liberty.'
