I've installed this version of Linux, trouble is Beryl doesn't seem to be working right off the bat. I'm assuming I need to install the nVidia drivers but I'm completely confused (surpised?!).... so anyway I went to nVidia's website but still don't fully understand what I need. Anyone have actual experience that can explain what I must do?

Right now it's a clean install.

So what, I login as the root, fine, that's easy... so what the hell do I do next?

The internet guides I've seen make no sense, walk me through it...

It can seem that way at first, but thats becasue you've been indoctrinated by Windows.

I've been able to get it working right. It would seem that Synaptic automatically installs the needed files, all I gotta do is make use of the thing. I didn't fully understand it at first, I still don't :C anyways I'm going to fool around, Amok is kinda annoying me but ehh.

I luV beryl, it's amazing and makes Windows look like a joke, man I'm just waiting to see what Linux can do!

Linux does nothing. It just sits there.

my only problem with linux atm are some funky errors i get while attempting to run windows apps.

I also just switch from kubuntu to ubuntu and i must say ubuntu works a lot better out of the box then kubunto did,

Get rid of this, and install ubuntu. It will be your best move. Beryl is well supported and easy to setup on ubuntu.

/Avatar hates Gnome, uses FC and Mandriva
Well, it's not really a Linux problem, but the problem with any OS trying to run software made for a different OS.
Have you tryed running any Linux app on Windows?
