I got banned a few months back from a forum.
What is said in a thread was, ''that alien life, intelligent or not, could develop in a galaxy that is speeding away from us at near light speed, and use those speeds to reach us.''
> Now this is true, especially from relativity. As Dr. Hawking explains in his book Black Holes and Baby Universes, pg .89 ''After the period of inflation, one would end up with different area's of the universe moving away at different speeds.''
Also, Dr. Wolf measures this possibility in his book - but instead, [one] of the moderators on the site said i was a troll, talking nonesense, and inexorably banned from the site... wanks.
Anyway... ever been banned from a forum, and why?
cosmictraveler 10-19-07, 07:43 PM Yep, I sent it a virus I made and it crashed their entire system! They didn't like that so they wouldn't let me back in when they rebuilt it.
shorty_37 10-19-07, 07:44 PM This is the only forum I am on.......and soon to be banned.

Join Poetry.com
You'll be welcome there. Always. (Even if you only join for a laugh, in a rare lapse of common sense and good taste.) In fact, once they have your email address, they will never leave you alone.
I prefer allpoetry.com

Sock puppet path 10-20-07, 08:35 AM I was hoping to find a forum that focus' mainly on jam.
I kept getting banned from forums so I set up a forum for people who were banned.
Makes sense to me...and it turned out that the banned people are really nice and considerate.
Atom, that's sooo cool! Hehe...
I got banned from a Christian site. They didn't appreciate the fact that their figure of worship could've been a fictional character.

Because it was a lifestyle choice, same as being straight or gay.
And they thought all the things wrong on eh planet were due to theists so they were better off dead. militant fanatical idiots.
Right... it all makes sense now...
vslayer 10-20-07, 04:58 PM i got banned from physicsforums. after someone claiming to be from there left a series of spam across sciforums i created an account and made some rather unsavoury comments about that users actions... turns out it was just some troll looking for a laugh and not a longtime member of either forum, but its no real loss really.
we should like DDOS attack their sites.
Or as draqon would say, 'nuke em.'
Or as draqon would say, 'nuke em.'
that is as saying we are freeing them.
Nikelodeon 10-26-07, 06:32 AM I got permbanned from this forum several times
Serves you right.
Never banned but half-threatened several times mostly by mods of the opposing political/religious persuasion.
Probably about thisclose to being banned here. :D
inzomnia 10-26-07, 07:05 AM Serves you right.
He is banned for 4 days, not permabanned.
Seriously, is monkeyman Scott Gilbert himself?

Scott Gilbert, a biologist:
He has received several awards, including the Medal of François I from the Collège de France, the Dwight J. Ingle Memorial Writing Award, the Choice Outstanding Academic Book Award, an honorary doctorate from the University of Helsinki, and a John Simon Guggenheim Foundation Grant.

I remember he once said somewhere in this forum that he has a medal, a PhD
degree, live in Finland, biologist. And if that Scott Gilbert has a spuriousmonkey
t-shirt too, there are too many similarities.
i got banned from a big swedish forum that claims to stand for 'freedom of speech'. it's the only forum i've been banned from.
