    It's out.

You can see he's getting desperate. "Palestine" is the last straw which terrorists grasp at when they get desperate and irrelevant.

Nobody is even taking him seriously anymore

Does anybody pay attention to these anymore? I certainly don't. I think OBL and Al Qaeda are pretty much bygones...

Looks like he's running out of recruits. Palestinians are all snapped up by Hamas and Fatah. Overseas palestinians are too busy trying to survive to cause trouble. That, or they want another black september.

This is the bit that caught my attention:
Who is deluded enough to think the Pope has anything to do with this? Bin Laden apparently understands western values about as well as the average American understands Saudi values. A "severe reaction" will only strengthen western resolve towards freedom of expression, and convince still more that the religion of Islam is apparently incompatible with western values.

On NPR today (maybe BBC), they said the recording has generated a lot of traffic on jihadi websites. Apparently he has an audience.

In 2002, I came across a jihadi website that was full of young brainwashed Muslims. It was full of posts praising Bin Laden, and the 9/11 attacks, and all sorts of other extremist nonsense. Shortly after I came across it, it was closed to non members, and you couldn't read these sorts of posts without joining. Very, very disturbing. And this was all in English; I can scarcely imagine what you might come across if you can read Arabic.

Not what he said, from the quote. He was listing, not connecting.

OBL hasn't traveled that much in his life. And the Pope is important in places outside the US.

Some will, in the US, come next fall. They'll be in headlines, by my guess.

    That line's getting old.

Err he should be on the priority list, don't you think? Seeing that Al Qaeda were the one's who directly attacked the US.

Just like how Israel is almost Synonomous with USA.

They fight the same enemy, but for different causes.

On the spectrum of Jihad, Hamas is pretty close to al-Qaeda:

    [AQ]---[HAMAS]--------------------------------------------------------------[moderate Islam]

HAMAS (and its constituents) hate the USA almost as much as OBL does. It's just that they are a bit more responsible than AQ. Or should I say, OBL is even less responsible than HAMAS are.

And they have every reason to hate the US and Israel for what their governments have done to their countries.

Ever notice that these things tend to pop up are US Presidential elections? And that they tend to favor the Rebublican in charge? I kind of think the Bush's and Bin Laden have a relationship that is mutually beneficial to each. Bin Laden allows Bush a tool to scare Americans and uses Bin Laden to acquire and consolidate power...kind of a sick relationship. But it appears to me that next to being born with a golden spoon in his mouth, the next best thing to happen to junior is Bin Laden.
Without Bin Laden he would not have had a snow balls chance in hell of a second term.

Yeah, also, the golden spoon comes in the form of his brother, Salem Bin Laden.

And invaded their country, destroyed museums and libraries, destroyed airport, captured and tortured protestors, sold off their oil reserves to major international oil companies and created a new constitution which prevents any future government of terminating the contract with these oil companies meaning that from now till the end of time, Iraqi oil, responsible for 95% of Iraqi income, will be sold by outside companies with every penny made taken outside of Iraq and nothing going to Iraq itself. And theres nothing the Iraqis can do about it. Ah yes, the sick bastards
