No no, for the love of god don't read The Bible or Dianetics. you'll loose your mind that way (if you have one).

I can't believe they've taken a serious thread and turned it into yet another joke, what were they thinking  then again what am I thinking?!

I don't know of any books that will give you a better perspective on life, the only thing that might is reading my blog http://niceguysneverfinish.blogspot.com/ then maybe you'll come to appreciate yours abit more. I mean dear lord my life is horrible, it's so terribly bad you'll love every minute of yours.

Welcome to my world.

to be truthful the books that really matter are: science, engineering, and math.

Read and understand Calculus I, II, III and thereafter. Go into the world of mathematics.

Read books on how to program in C language.

this is what matters.

Great list.

Robert Jordan was a good friend of mine. We don't keep in touch much anymore since I moved out of Charleston, but I still consider him a good friend. I haven't read a single one of his books, though. But I have helped him lug boxes and boxes of first printings in a dozen different languages up into his attic. And played with his sword collection over wine. He's a trippy dude.

Fountainhead got me interested in being an architect. The wisdom of Roark echoes in my head whenever I build an architectural model.

First try, "The New History of the World" by J. M. Roberts then "Altered States" by Noam Chomsky. This should get the balance right.:argue:

The bible's fantastic. Especially recommend the old testament. What a testament to humanity, to being a person- the rape! the genocide! the greed! the injustice! the ignorance!
And to think, we're a Christian nation.

Really gets my rocks off.
