I looked, I thought, I wondered, were could I post this one, do most of you know? George Harrison has passed away. World events, the Beatles history shows that they were a world event, since the Beatles Rock & Roll has always been influenced by them. http://www.usatoday.com/hphoto.htm I hope the link works.

As a reminder, and a memento: List your favorite Beatles songs.

Mine: Penny Lane, Michelle, Strawberry Fields, Revolution, & many others I can't think of the moment.

Do You Want To Know A Secret

By John Lennon and Paul McCartney
Sung by George
1963

Listen,
Do you want to know a secret
Do you promise not to tell,
Whoa oh, oh

Closer,
Let me whisper in your ear
Say the words you long to hear,
I'm in love with you!
Ooo-oo-ooh!

Listen, (doo da doo)
Do you want to know a secret, (doo da doo)
Do you promise not to tell, (doo da doo)
Whoa oh, oh

Closer, (doo da doo)
Let me whisper in your ear, (doo da doo)
Say the words you long to hear,
I'm in love with you!
Ooo-oo-ooh!

I've known a secret for the week or two,
Nobody knows, just we two

Listen, (doo da doo)
Do you want to know a secret, (doo da doo)
Do you promise not to tell, (doo da doo)
Whoa oh, oh

Closer, (doo da doo)
Let me whisper in your ear, (doo da doo)
Say the words you long to hear,
I'm in love with you!

Ooo-oo-ooh!

Ooo-oo-ooh!

Blackbird

By John Lennon and Paul McCartney
Sung by Paul
1968

Blackbird singing in the dead of night
Take these broken wings and learn to fly
All your life,
You were only waiting for this moment to arise

Blackbird singing in the dead of night
Take these sunken eyes and learn to see
All your life,
You were only waiting for this moment to be free

Blackbird fly, Blackbird fly
Into the light of the dark black night

Blackbird fly Blackbird fly
Into the light of the dark black night.

Blackbird singing in the dead of night
Take these broken wings and learn to fly
All your life
You were only waiting for this moment to arise
You were only waiting for this moment to arise
You were only waiting for this moment to arise.

When I'm Sixty-Four

By John Lennon and Paul McCartney
Sung by Paul
1967

When I get older, losing my hair,
Many years from now
Will you still be sending me the Valentine,
Birthday greetings, bottle of wine

If I'd been out till quarter to three
Would you lock the door
Will you still need me, will you still feed me,
When I'm sixty-four?

(ooooh...)
You'll be older too, (aaaaahh...)
And if you say the word, I could stay with you.

I could be handy, mending a fuse
When your lights have gone
You can knit a sweater by the fireside,
Sunday mornings, go for a ride

Doing a garden, digging the weeds,
Who could ask for more?
Will you still need me, will you still feed me,
When I'm sixty-four?

Every summer we can rent a cottage in the Isle of Wight,
If it's not too dear
We shall scrimp (we shall scrimp and save) and save
Grandchildren on your knee,
Vera, Chuck & Dave

Send me a postcard, drop me a line,
Stating point of view
Indicate precisely what you mean to say
Yours sincerely, wasting away

Give me your answer, fill in a form,
Mine for evermore,
Will you still need me, will you still feed me,
When I'm sixty-four?

(hoo!)

Helter Skelter

By John Lennon and Paul McCartney
Sung by Paul
1968

When I get to the bottom I go back to the top of the slide
Where I stop and I turn and I go for a ride
Till I get to the bottom and I see you again.

Do you, don't you want me to love you
I'm coming down fast but I'm miles above you
Tell me tell me tell me come on tell me the answer
You may be a lover but you ain't no dancer.

Helter skelter helter skelter
Helter skelter.

Will you, won't you want me to make you
I'm coming down fast but don't let me break you
Tell me tell me tell me the answer
You may be a lover but you ain't no dancer.

Look out helter skelter helter skelter
Helter skelter

Look out, cause here she comes.

When I get to the bottom I go back to the top of the slide
And I stop and I turn and I go for a ride
And I get to the bottom and I see you again

Well do you, don't you want me to make you
I'm coming down fast but don't let me break you
Tell me tell me tell me the answer
You may be a lover but you ain't no dancer.

Look out helter skelter helter skelter
Helter skelter
Look out helter skelter
She's coming down fast
Yes she is
Yes she is.

A very sad day.

I loved each and every song, there's no need to list them.

Did anyone buy a copy of the Beatles Anthology on video tape?
I never got the chance to, but recorded a shorter version from the television. I was just wondering what I missed?
