I personally like this scary movie because I hate the mainstream actors and wish death upon them. So it becomes more of a victory movie. Kind of like you watching a movie with Britney Spears or Christina Aguilera.

I saw this a few months ago. As an old person I revere the 1973 original, which really was scary. Then we didn't have 20 horror flicks a year coming out. The new one is gross. All the stops are pulled out and the notorious cannibalism is rubbed in your face. Earmes playing the "sheriff" dad was a great choice, I bet he had a blast with that role! Remember the biker chick scene: "Boy officer, am I glad to see you." Earmes: "Yeah. I bet you are- BOOM" as he blows a hole in her torso the size of a dinner plate!
But scary it isn't. I didn't care enough about the characters themselves to be scared. It's like most modern horror; It's just explicitly violent.

As an old person? What are you, 43? I know that's older than average around here, but it's not old.

Well I am half dead so I qualify as old. It is quite unlikely I'll live another 43 years so I'm bracing for death now.

That's called middle aged, not old. Come on, wait at least till you're 50 before declaring yourself dead. You've been watching too much Logan's Run.

LOL!!! I loved that movie. At the time 30 did sound like a fair age to 'release' people.

I think it was 35, but either way, we'd both be dead.
