View Full Version : Oh.... Jesus... Christ... Lord... Almighty.....!!
TruthSeeker 02-19-06, 07:15 PM It's starvation day* and my wife is starting to get regular contractions. How convenient...
I hope my baby does't come tomorrow. It's a long day. And I still have to do taxes, write three business plans, study for two midterms, complete two projects.... Eveything this week. Yikes!!!
It's like running through a mine field... :D
*starvation day: I have a medical exam tomorrow, for more then 5 hours. I can't eat at all for 24 hours prior. I'm starving, dizzy, falling asleep and my head aches. Not a goo time for a baby to come.
Cottontop3000 02-19-06, 07:36 PM That's how life usually is. Get used to it. :)
TruthSeeker 02-19-06, 07:39 PM I should be by now...!
Cottontop3000 02-19-06, 07:59 PM It's hard to get used to. Ah, but you do your best and life goes on. and on. and on. :)
ooh baby coming! awesome
is she 9 months pregnant?
what kind of exam are you doing?
Cottontop3000 02-19-06, 08:30 PM funny. two ways to look at the op. I feel ashamed.
TruthSeeker 02-19-06, 09:01 PM ooh baby coming! awesome
is she 9 months pregnant?
No. He just really wants to come out. False alarm so far. But I bet he is coming within days...
what kind of exam are you doing?
So many of them. Tomorrow I have a five hour medical exam. On the 27th I have an accounting exam. There's also a communications exam. I don't remember when that is. I gotta check it out...
Zarklephaser 02-20-06, 12:20 AM I hope my baby does't come tomorrow.
Is it going to be a boy or a girl?
TruthSeeker 02-20-06, 12:25 AM boy
Cottontop3000 02-20-06, 02:48 AM Do you have a name picked out yet?
purple_hairstreak 02-20-06, 07:40 AM let me add to the list of questions. What the heck are you doing online?!!
my sister began to have contractions at 7 months of pregnancy.. her doctor put her in absolute rest and gave her medications to help keeping the baby in for a little longer.
she was able to deliver the baby at 9 months.
TruthSeeker 02-20-06, 06:21 PM Do you have a name picked out yet?
Pearson
Cottontop3000 02-20-06, 06:24 PM That's unique, to me anyway. Nice. I hope everything goes well with the birth. How was your exam and all the rest of it?
TruthSeeker 02-20-06, 06:25 PM How old is your baby?
Almost nine months in her belly..
TruthSeeker 02-20-06, 06:29 PM let me add to the list of questions. What the heck are you doing online?!!
Well, I wasn't online for a while! We ended up going to the hospital, but it was false alarm. Now I'm just chilling out a little bit and getting back to work in a few minutes... ;)

I really hope my wife deliver soon.
Like...before two of my midterms....
TruthSeeker 02-20-06, 06:34 PM That's unique, to me anyway. Nice.
Yes, it is pretty unique. It's kinda strange in Portuguese, tough. My parents have a hard time pronouncing it... :(
Well, still. "Pearson" is a scottish version of "Peter". So I will just let them call him "Peter" if they want...
I hope everything goes well with the birth.
Thanks. Well, he is exceptionally healthy. The doctors are saying he scores above the third percentile on health and intelligence. :)
How was your exam and all the rest of it?
It was disgusting. I had to swallow cups of this awful thing after spending 36 hours without any food...
Cottontop3000 02-20-06, 06:39 PM Well, still. "Pearson" is a scottish version of "Peter". So I will just let them call him "Peter" if they want...Cool. I'm Scottish, way, way back.
It was disgusting. I had to swallow cups of this awful thing after spending 36 hours without any food... :eek:Barium? If so, I had to do that once too. Horrible. Can't remember why I had to have that done. X-ray you after drinking it?
TruthSeeker 02-20-06, 06:44 PM Cool. I'm Scottish, way, way back.
My wife is part Scottish. I luv it. I always liked the Scots. :)
She even has the reddish hair...
Barium? If so, I had to do that once too. Horrible. Can't remember why I had to have that done. X-ray you after drinking it?
Precisely. Yes, it's quite a disgusting procedure. :D
Cottontop3000 02-20-06, 06:47 PM LOL :D
G. F. Schleebenhorst 02-20-06, 06:59 PM Red hair is chiefly an Irish trait....the "Irish" Scots are therefore easy to spot ;)
Pearson is a surname here....no offense intended but there's nothing I can't stand more than a kid with a surname for a first name.
TruthSeeker 02-20-06, 06:59 PM Could be worse! There's this "barium enema" one and they stick it up your ass! :D
Literally!
My old doctor told me to do it. I didn't agree with his prognosys so I didn't. My new doctor told me that my old doctor was stupid. He was completely wrong! :D

Well, it's ok. My wife can't stand fathers naming their sons after themselves. Hence why his name will be Pearson... :D
Hahaha you brought it upon yourself ;)
Life with a wife and kid is going to be hell. Life will slowly be sucked from you.
-Good luck
TruthSeeker 02-20-06, 07:34 PM I'm 21. I still have quite a bit of energy. How old were you when you had kids?
Why do you think I'm having a kid early on? Besides, I can always take some money and invest it. Once I have enough invested, I won't need to work as much (or at all, for that matter) and I will have plenty of time for my family.
Lots of people manage. Why wouldn't I? ;)

Is that why i am so tired lately?
TruthSeeker 02-20-06, 07:57 PM And of course... I luv challenges... :D
Ohh... you're masochistic.

Umm.. I don't have kids.
And personally, I think it is foolish to have kids so early in life. You said it was a mistake anyhow.
TruthSeeker 02-20-06, 09:45 PM Where did I say it was a mistake?
When you first announced the pregnancy.
Well, I wasn't online for a while! We ended up going to the hospital, but it was false alarm. Now I'm just chilling out a little bit and getting back to work in a few minutes... ;)

Braxton Hicks contractions are normal and may or may not be an indication that labour is imminent. I thought I had BHC's the last time I went to see my obstetrician and I told him they were regular but not painful at all.. and they weren't.. they were merely uncomfortable... He agreed they were BHC's and after checking said 'nooooo baby's not even engaged yet'.. and then advised me that I was to be induced on the upcoming Saturday (it was a Tuesday when I went to see him) because of the complications that I'd had so far and it was time I delivered and end the misery that was my pregnancy. So we went home and I was lying on the couch watching TV and my husband kept looking at me because by that point they were coming every 5 minutes and I kept assuring him they weren't painful and that all was fine and that even the doctor said I would have to be induced because baby was too comfortable. By 2am the next morning my water's broke in what can only be a spectacular fashion and was in hospital by 2:30am.. baby boy arrived at 7:20pm that day. To say baby's head engaged quickly would be an understatement.
Moral of the story.. always be prepared.. make sure all bag's are fully packed and ready to go.. if her water breaks, wear a short dress as it feels disgusting if you wear long pants (I learnt the hard way).. If her water's break, and you're driving her to the hospital, have plenty of thick towels handy for her to sit on as it can rot the upholstery..
If she's 9 months, then it's a good bet that things are starting to happen.
If it does happen and you have exams, etc, then they take second place. I am sure your school will allow you to sit them at a later time if your wife goes into labour and you have to miss the exam (make sure you advise them that she's due at any time and make sure she has all the numbers she can reach you on if you are in an exam and she goes into labour and make sure your teacher's know that you will have to leave if she goes into labour.. I'm sure they won't mind and will understand)..
And sleep as much as you possibly can now. Tell her to get as much sleep as she can now as well because when baby arrives, sleep will become a rare commodity. Tell her to conserve her energy as labour is very tiring and she won't have much of a chance to rest once it's over.
But good luck and I hope all goes well for both your wife and yourself as well as baby.. :)
TruthSeeker 02-20-06, 09:57 PM When you first announced the pregnancy.
I never said that. How about you show me the post?

My wife's baby is already engaged and she is 2 cms dialated. But her contractions are not very regular yet... :-/

Not really... One of my teachers want a note prior to the class. My accounting teacher only allow people who miss exams to do a special exam which is much harder, it is worth more then 50% and it covers all the course. It's a tough situation...

Yes, she is resting. She is pissed off he didn't come out today and she refuses to get out of the house until he comes. LOL! :D
But good luck and I hope all goes well for both your wife and yourself as well as baby.. :)
Thanks :) How old is yours?

spuriousmonkey 02-20-06, 10:11 PM We were counting that the baby would be late. Hadn't decided on the name yet. Then it came 2 weeks early. But was biggest baby in the nursery.

Well, my wife is gestational diabetic and he will probably come within the next few days... so he will probably be 2 weeks early and the biggest one too! ;)

"Truthie...say goodbye to sex... "
Well! You were wrong! Guess what I've been doing every day! :D
I'm sure it is too small to do any damage to the baby ;)
TruthSeeker 02-20-06, 11:49 PM What!? What are you talking about!?
I'm a brazilian man! What the hell are you talking about!? :bugeye:
Besides, I got her pregnant in the second try. Why do you think I was capable of doing that? ;)
TruthSeeker 02-20-06, 11:49 PM Jesus.... this kid is taking his time! LOL! :D
stretched 02-20-06, 11:52 PM My high school was called "Pearson High School" ... hope that does`nt spoil it for you. Best wishes.

Heh.. I was 2cm dialated at 4pm the day he was born.

Well you're going to have to decide what's more important. A course you can redo or an exam you can do another time even if it is harder.. or seeing your child being born.
Thanks How old is yours?
5 months old today.. :) and already rolling from one end of the room to the other and trying to crawl..
Well! You were wrong! Guess what I've been doing every day!
Having sex to make baby come early huh? LOL.. They say semen can naturally soften the cervix.. :p
Well, my wife is gestational diabetic and he will probably come within the next few days... so he will probably be 2 weeks early and the biggest one too!
I was lucky I didn't have gestational diabetes nor high blood pressure.. I had the other extreme of low blood pressure and severe anemia.
Scan weight estimations can be off by quite a bit.. You won't know for sure until the baby is born.
May this child be the spawn of lucifer, not a blessing in disguise. :D
Has he come yet? :m:
spuriousmonkey 02-21-06, 03:21 PM Has he come yet? :m:
Truthseeker or the baby?
Well I was thinking the baby, but it would be interesting to hear if Truthseeker stuck his weenie in her 2cm dilated vagina today yet.
