and the president faked his involvement in anything about the killing of the journalist...the sedan numbers of his car seen near the scene of the murder...were not his at all, although that was his car and the numbers were of his car...
fake evidence.

Isn't that circumstantial evidence anyway?

Dr Lou Natic

I think the fact he's proven he can get away with murder makes him an ideal candidate for the presidency of the united states.
Everyone is all over bush's ass.
His inability to get away with murder is arguably his greatest shortcoming.

For the record, OJ was proven guilty in that courtroom, it's just that the defense also proved that a cop unnecessarrily planted fake evidence, and for some reason (jury too simple to make sense of a complicated situation) that made him innocent.
If nothing else it served as a dramatic illustration of the flaws with democracy, reminding us that most people really aren't qualified to have any say in anything.

Well I guess rednecks would vote for anyone if they weren't a Democrat, right?

He's a citizen of the US (or so it appears, judging by his snotwuh). What right to you have to tell a citizen of the US to go back to some other country, just because you don't like what they think? My, we're being unhospitable and perhaps even anti-democracy, aren't we?

OJ Simpson was proven innocent in a court of law. He is not guilty of any crime whatsoever.

Courts do not find people innocent. They find them not guilty. And yes, there's a difference.

What rock have you been living under until now? :bugeye:

Firstly, Democrats won the House, Senate, and several governorships, and are now the majority party in all three fields. If there's a loser in this scenario, it's the Republicans.

Secondly, they do indeed stand for something. I believe a bit of research would reveal this.

Michael Jackson for president! eeeeeeeeeeeeeheeeeeeeeee shamon motherfucker!

Oh boy, we're going to have to abolish the congressional page system before we let Michael anywhere near the District of Columbia. Let's not get ahead of ourselves. :p

The democrats were crying "IMPEACH! IMPEACH!" before the election. Now they are like "oh no, we won't do that."

What I heard is what they are going to do is put up those issues that seem to matter to people and go "look! Bush won't work with us and he won't get the republicans to help us. Let's put a democratic president in office and we'll get things done!"

Mrs. Clinton wants to cut and run from Iraq. That is scary.

Well the war is going bad. Yes. However, I feel it is more dangerous to just leave at this point.

What I think should have been done with Saddam would be to put him back as "president of Iraq" under supervision. His job would be to stabilize Iraq. He wouldn't be dictator anymore but I'm sure he could fix it. He would have to live with a new form of government.

He wasn't proven innocent, Prince James. In the US, you are simply ASSUMED innocent until PROVEN GUILTY. If you cannot prove something is the case, that doesn't show it's negation has been proven. All that was shown in court is that it is damn near impossible to prove he was guilty.

you contradict your own statement. He was indeed innocent and he was not proven guilty, as with no proof of guilt the evil culprit gets away with stains of blood within his skin, untouched...unharmed...its were judicial system crumbles.

He was found guilty in a civil court. Well, he settled rather than get sued for a kajillion dollars.
Funny how with enough money you can get away with anything.

It might have sounded weird, but I know I am right.

No proof of X doesn't mean X's negation must be true. We assume innocence... if you are not proven guilty, that doesn't mean he wasn't guilty. We just didn't prove it.

I'm now watching on TV a thing about OJ Simpson, he has written a book detailing how and why ...if he had killed them....he would do it!

He says it is fiction, but his publisher considers it a confession. The book is called

'If I did it'

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/15066202/

"O.J. Simpson is confessing. Hypothetically, that is.

The former football great, who was acquitted in criminal court 11 years ago of killing his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend, Ron Goldman, reportedly has been paid a whopping $3.5 million to write about the double murder that shocked and riveted the nation in 1994, according to a detailed report in the new National Enquirer.

But Simpson is not actually confessing to the murder — rather, he’s writing a “hypothetical” book — which the Enquirer reports is tentatively being called “If I Did It.” "

He needs to be careful, In the Uk that double jeopardy law was changed by a mother seeking justice for her daughter and she DID IT! So now her daughters killer has gone to prison for life after 11yrs (or whatever it was!). If the law is changed in America, OJ could still find himself in prison, maybe that's why he wants to be president, so he can prevent the law from changing!

Having double Jeopardy basically lets the government prosecute everyone they want as much as they want until they get a conviction. It's a sure fire way to set people up for unjust imprisonment.

Basically speaking: If they can't get a case on you -one time-, then you don't deserve to go to prison. Obviously the evidence was scanty enough to get you off one time...

so for you guilt is irrelavant, it's a case of available evidence at the time?

no evidence no punishement deserved?

And should more evidence come to light later or a confession, we should disregard it?
