There should be one I think. We could discuss health and nutrition theories, plus bullshit about which foods we like and recipes and stuff.
i have suggested many times before that we have a sports and fitness thread. this could be included in that also. a healthy lifestyle thread? based on active lifestyle, sports, healthy eating, martial arts, working out, and the science behind keeping fit in general. but nope they dont want to know. peace.
sports and nutrition is scientific. what about religion, philosophy, sci-fi, parapsycology, free thoughts, art and culture, they are hardly scientific. peace.
I agree that there is a lot of science behind correct nutrition, exercise and general health and wellbeing, however, let's not forget that sciforums has very little to do with science.
thats why it should be a sport forum aswell as nutrition, so people have a place to post about sporting events and outdoor activity. like rock climbing, mountain trekking, scuba diving, martial arts, competitions etc etc. anything to do with active lifestyle topics, or even about cooking healthy meals. recipie tips, it could be a very broad forum. wich i would name something like "healthy living" with a sub underneath saying "active lifestyle, sports, cooking, outdoors activities" peace.
Well, I agree, it would be interesting and worthwhile - nutrition and exercise. It unites biology, chemistry, psychology, etc. Especially when all over the western world we have the problem of obesity. Just not sports.
I'd agree, but on the condition that football, american football, ice hockey, basketball and other well followed sports have their own subsection in the cesspool. I can't be bothered sifting through hundreds of useless threads before I get to an interesting one.
I think the forum should be called 'Health and Wellbeing', which will encompass all the aforementioned and a lot more that we haven't even discussed here.
How can we actually make it become a reality? Keep talking about it, make polls or what? Everyone seems to like it, well not everyone, but majority rules hahaha.
You can post metabolism and physiology, clinical nutrition stuff in biology and genetics, general human nutrition and dietetics in general science or science and society, biochemistry and molecular nutrition in biology and genetics. There are a lot of nutrition topics on this forum already.
