Hello Everyone, What would you (if you live in the US) do in case of a Russian nuclear first strike on the US this year (2006) if you only 30 to 45 minutes before the first hits occur. Some interesting information can be found on: " http://www.cdi.org/nuclear/facts-at-a-glance.cfm " " http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nuclear_war " " http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_nuclear_weapons " " http://www.nuclearfiles.org/menu/key-issues/nuclear-weapons/basics/nuclear-stockpiles.htm " http://www.fas.org/nuke/guide/index.html and " http://www.ki4u.com/nuclearsurvival/list.htm " Let's hope it never comes to this !!! P.S. I personally find the nuclear arms limitation and reduction treaties to be pathetic. Losing 1500 warheads while still retaining another 1500 warheads is madness. These weapons should be banned period! Global Crazyness.....
Do you have inside information? Also, I believe that we ned some nukes, in case of asteroids. Another thing, this thread appears to be 30 years too late.
Okay here's the skinny on nuclear weapons. It's one of those things you build and hope you never use. You'd rather the damn thing didn't exist at all but everyone and their brother has them so your best bet to make sure they don't get used is have a scary number of them.
CLEAN WATER.... but un fortunaly... disaslianation doesnt help with nuclear failout.... we would need really deep wells....... but how dangerous is heavy water??? from what i know its pretty stable.... so again.... distilling may be the way to go. -MT
Make sure myself and my family were out of a population center, preferably in a valley near a large body of water.
