Acer is selling notebook with linux, it is at least RM500 cheaper than that sold with windows.

In malaysia, the consumer bought it and then reinstall with windows -pirate version.

Why not? I mean, if you do not have windows on your normal PC, that's one thing, because normally, it is custom build. But a laptop...well, not that many choices, are there? At least not everything on it is made by Microsoft, there is plenty of third party software on it, jut because MS lost a lawcase in Europe. ;)

When I got my laptop, the first thing I did, before even booting it up ONCE, was pop my Windows XP Pro CD in, and do a fresh reformat. I recommend this for everyone (if you know how to do it, that is) that buys a computer from a manufacturer. They load your computer up with crap you don't need, ads, etc. Plus, you can always load the applications you want from the recovery CD.
