And there's no philosophy section in the archives....
Are all those old threads just gone?!

Ok. Been poking around as a guest and that is exactly what the problem is. Various subforums are apparently semi-closed off to guest users now. I think that this is a problem in that google no longer has access to those pages unless google spiders get access rights that guests don't have.

The followng subforums seem to have limited guest access:
World Events
Human Science
Earth Science
General Philosophy
Eastern Philosophy
SciFi
Pseudoscience
Parapsychology
Site Feedback

It's possible that the others are limited as well, I only checked by popping into the forums and finding those with only 2, 3, or 4 pages of threads. The others all had at least 7.

yeah, it would be a service to people surfing the web if they could find that information. sciforums has tackled just about ever major issue of the world, and IMHO done them justice.

I just noticed that the philosophy section only has 4 pages now....


At the bottom of each forum page there is a section called "Display Options" with 3 drop-downs. If your drop down entitled "From the:" is set to "last day", then there will be only 4 pages of topics. But if you reset it to "the beginning" then you will see everything.

Aaaaah.

Wonder why it changed like that in some of the subforums but not others?

I just went to change them all, thinking that it would set and stay, but they go back to the default "last day" after each time.
So. Porf? Reading this? Is this the way you want them set up? I'm sure it's cutting into google searches.
