Hey it looks like the computing world is one step closer to replacing both conventional RAM, and hard drives!

In this godless world of the future we'll all have a fat load of RAM that doesn't wipe when you cut the power (i.e. Non-volatile) and will allow us to access files quicker than ever because they aren't stored on a separate slow ass drive!

Take a look at this article!

There are such things as solid state harddrives right now - there is a kit that you can buy that will allow you to make them. Of course, if you wanted 40GB storage, buying 40 gigs of RAM would be lordly expensive (even if it was just PC 133)

This sounds like an effort to give faster RAM the ability to accept and write data instantly and permanently (instead of being temporary cache), much like a ROM chip.

This may might become a solution for ultra fast PCs, but I'd like to see what the price of this new technology turns out to be.
