View Full Version : Nominations for Astronomy Subforum?
Tristan 07-08-04, 12:57 PM Just thought it would be good to have a moderator there because it does get a lot of traffic. Of course Id love to be the moderator there too because I really love Astronomy and have some good insights. But there are others who probably have more knowledge. But Ill nominate myself anyway, if I can.
So I suppose that this is just to see who out there has the knowledge to significantly contribute to that subforum and mod it well.
Thanks!
Tristan
sargentlard 07-08-04, 12:58 PM Isn't Goofy suppose to do this?
Well Tristan is the moderator of the extremely heated Earth science forum so I guess he/she can do this.
ElectricFetus 07-08-04, 02:11 PM Darn I would love this over politics, if I lose I'll run for this next. If I win i'll back sargentlard like hathor never could!
ElectricFetus 07-08-04, 05:50 PM sargentlard,
Please nominate your self!

Nope - it is truly up to Porfiry. I am reasonably certain that if there is a vote to put a moderator in a particular subforum, he would okay the call for nominations and a vote.
Tristan 07-09-04, 05:58 PM Ahh then maybe we should post a poll in astronomy :)

ElectricFetus 07-10-04, 06:57 AM Hell yes you can! Will people vote for you well thats the problem.
sargentlard 07-10-04, 11:48 AM I wouldn't mind running either. Lost 4 times...looking to make it 5 times :)
Closet Philosopher 07-10-04, 12:01 PM I nominate myself... I have always like astronomy although it is not one of my top surfed forums. I should check in more often. I will 2 or 3 times a day if I am the mod, I visit the forums a lot more than I post, I enjoy reading a lot.. lol.
Tristan 07-10-04, 12:02 PM Please go here:

I'll nominate myself, if there are upcoming elections.
hotsexyangelprincess 07-11-04, 07:55 PM ill also nominate myself. :m:
Hahaha.
I'll nominate myself, just for kicks. And I'll bring in legions of Googlebots and FBI-bots and guests to vote for me, so I'll win by an overwhelming majority!
*mutters* First Astronomy, tomorrow the world! :D
certified psycho 07-13-04, 02:08 PM I wouldn't mind running either. Lost 4 times...looking to make it 5 times :)
Maybe it is a clue for you not to run again.
vslayer 07-15-04, 09:08 AM hey, ill run too, i always wanted power :D
I'm stronger in earth science than I am in astronomy, so I think it's a good idea if Tristan, who has experience, takes on the Astro subforum and leaves the competition open for the ES subforum.
Hypercane 07-23-04, 03:21 AM Im a HE. haha. Ya, earth science is a peaceful place. Thats why I feel I can take on another one. Ya know... and I didnt know what the "procedure was" so....

Youre really lucky youre the mod of the "heated" earth science. Im new, ill nominate myself but i its rather very unlikely ill be a mod.
Tristan 07-23-04, 02:46 PM The Votes are in! Since there have no new votes in quite some time, I think this is a reasonable look at the opionions of the people of the subforum for Astronomy.

Take a look Porfiry. I assume we would have a election now. But its up to you really :)
Cheers

I will nominate myself under the strict provision a poll be created immediately after my inaugural to have me ousted as the moderator.
ElectricFetus 07-23-04, 03:21 PM hold your horses! you have the be elected first before you can get that honor! ;)
ElectricFetus 07-23-04, 04:17 PM no its just one thing at a time man, get elected first then talk about the joy of being bitched at.
