I mean the technology is fine although phpbb2 is MUCH better but why such a frail and unfriendly forum........

I would guess there is certain reasons why the forums has this design, one would be simply answer by looking at the "puzzle" with the analogy of:

How would you feel if you went to work and came home to find that all the contents of your house had been moved to places you don't know, and some contents had been thrown out because it was obslete while the rest of the contents had either been classed as it's highest version or had been updated with the newest version (and a nice pile of complex manuals about how to use the new functions).

It just might give you an idea about what alterations and upgrades on an already well functioning board might have.

This site has a good GUI. It's easy to use. It also loads a lot faster then other forums.

The color is 100% what I meant coffee.

The GUI is fine, it's the major top of two forums - it's the design color which is horrid...

and no the other color options don't change it.

Specifically what I meant was that the color format of not the FORUMS but the html of the site ENCOMPASSING the forums makes it look empty and bland.

I would beckon Porfiry to peak at the www.physicsforums.com to get an idea of how the color can work WITH and not AGAINST.

What I would do has no bearing on what someone else would do.

I wouldn't run a forum in the first place - I have the sense that forums that allow anyone to sign up or useless.

I post here for two reasons:

1. A last resort
