Doctors and experts are baffled by an Indian man who claims not to have eaten or drunk anything for 70 years - but is still in perfect health. A team of scientists and doctors in Sterling Hospital, in the western Indian city of Ahmedabad, are studying the claims of Prahlad Jani, a local holy man, who is over 70 years old. http://english.aljazeera.net/news/asia/2010/04/201042920175628504.html A neurophysician who is studying this man claims the miracle patient has remained in hospital for 108hrs and he hasn't eaten or drank and hasn't passed any urine or stool. The old man claims he has lived in the woods since 8yrs old and was given the gift by some goddess and he gets his nutrients from some nectar floating around his head. Watch the video. So, how long do you think it will be before they come up with a scientific explanation? How long before they discover he is a charlatan? Hoax or miracle? I myself go through a purification occasionally with no food or water for 48 hours- my record is 50 hours. After the first 24 hours, the pains all go away and the mind produces clear thoughts. I find it hard to believe a man can go a month without food or water but can see skeptically how it may be possible. I would like to see more of this.
They dissect him and are amazed to see he is half plant...Like wow , i really hope people would not believe nonsense like that..:bugeye:
After a week without water you are dead. So it's bull. Maybe he's a sleepwalker though Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
When will we realize that these people are senile. Like when some world leader says something outrageous or something like that and they are 95 years old and i am thinking to myself: well what the f*ck did you expect.
This guy needs to write a How To book. My kids are eating me poor over here. Has anyone read about the woman who bled ten times her body's volume of blood, lived and then never ate or drank for the next 30 some years? Catholic woman, I believe. but anyway, it's not just India. Stories like this come up everywhere from time to time.
It's utter horse shit. This guy isn't the only person saying they survive on 'prana'. The author of 'Living on Light' was filmed for a documentary, but was proven to be a fake during that filming. Check out the reviews of her book, which details the documentary. I saw it myself, and she was clearly a liar, so all claims she was conspired against were completely untrue, but she's a liar, making money off her book and her lies, so clearly she's going to stick to them. http://www.amazon.com/Living-Light-Source-Nourishment-Millennium/dp/3929512351
Do I think it's possible for someone to somehow survive 70+ years without food or water? Maybe. Do I think it's likely? Definately not. So my educated guess is that this guy is a hoax. And 15 days is not long enough to observe someone without food or water. I bet the first thing he does when he gets out of the hospital is to go down to the McD's on the corner of Penabi and Hiju St and get a fat juicy Double Quarter Pounder with cheese with an extra large order of fries.
